This year I bought a Home Depot viral tree with the new soft plastic needles, so it was challenging to decorate with ribbon. You can't just tuck it and it stay. I wasn't expecting that. I've always loved flocked trees (they make ornaments pop) but ended up buying a green one to go with other greenery I have and I didn't want it to appear that it only snowed on the tree, 😅 but so glad to see how you converted this green tree into a wintry one for future reference! Thank you for the ribbon tutorial too!

Ya know, I've heard others say that about the HD viral tree, BUT the twinkling lights on it are gorgeous! I know you've decorated it beautifully! And, YES, scoop up a few flocked picks/branches on sale after the holidays and store them away when you want to make one of your green trees look like they've been covered with a bit of snow. Becca you are simply amazing and inspirational. Love it all. I was wondering if you’ve ever had an artificial tree stink after storage. We always get a real tree but this year I decided to use a flocked tree that I purchased at Macy’s years ago. It was used on display and marked down From 1500 to just over $200. Insane. I had it wrapped in a cling wrap type of material and stored it in a container in the basement. No moisture at all. As I started fluffing and unwrapping I noticed that awful musty smell. Do I spray with vinegar and water or just leave it outdoors for a few days ? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much! Your tree sounds perfect and what a deal! I wouldn't spray anything on it ... maybe just let it sit outside on a covered porch or even your garage for a day. THEN, you know those fragrance sticks you can get at Walmart or Michaels? I would hang one of those in there and that will definitely make it smell nice and festive.

@ Hi Becca! Just wanted to thank you for your help and let you know how things went. So I ended up taking 2 parts of the tree outside to air out and placed a bag of baking soda under the tree and added DRYER SHEETS in between the branches, 😂 and it worked! Taking the other parts helped so much. We had plenty of wind to blow through them and now my tree is smelling just fine.
