@@lukancheese Simply, there are no bad times to visit CO. Each season or month will net you a totally different experience. I think the months you have outlines are the best months to visit. Weather is just right and the season is changing so things are either in bloom / gaining their fall colors.

I will be emigrating from Europe to the USA at the end of 2024. I've been thinking about it for a long time, especially regarding the process of my integration, as I would have it much "easier" in the coastal regions. I don't want to make it too easy for myself and want to learn the customs and language properly. Colorado comes first at the moment, of course I have to see where I can find work but I have already been able to make some contacts in Colorado, it doesn't look bad. I would be very happy if that works out.
@HashtagColoradoLife11 ай бұрын
GO FOR IT! Dive right on in! I think CO is a great place for international folks. Denver is a big enough city that you can find food or people that represent just about every corner of the globe. And the state of CO is big enough that you can easily escape into the mountains and forget there is a metropolis of 3mil people nearby. If you like being outside and really strive for a good work-life balance, then CO will be a perfect fit. Keep in mind tho, one of the biggest hurdles for anyone moving here is the elevation.
@HSNPSA4511 ай бұрын
@@HashtagColoradoLife Thank you very much, I was also immediately impressed by Colorado, the mixture of big city and beautiful nature. Thank goodness I'm also used to the elevation, I spent my childhood in the mountains before I later moved to the urban jungle. I miss nature and mountains, which is why Colorado immediately came to the top of my list of favorite places in the USA. Hopefully we'll meet on the roads there later, keep your fingers crossed for me. 🤞🏻😁

Dinosaur is good. But early summer is cedar gnat season if you're near the high desert pinyon & juniper trees. Consider long pants, long sleeve shirt, and maybe have a head net.

if we had to choose between visiting the buena vista area or the glenwood springs area, which one would be better for a family of 4 with 2 girls ages 8 and 10?
@HashtagColoradoLife9 ай бұрын
Pretty even I think. Both towns are about the same size, have equal opportunity to get out into nature and have roughly the same sort of things to do / eat in each town. Oh and both have hot springs. I think it comes down to more what you want to do. Glenwood is a bit more relaxing as it's easy to just park at the hotel and walk everywhere in the city (defo stay at the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge if you pick this place) and stay up later sitting in the hot springs. While Buena Vista is a bit more make-your-own-fun and getting out everyday.

Also depends on your budget, and if you prefer nature or "attractions". Buena Vista is more nature oriented. Glenwood has more "pay to enter" attractions. But, they're both great. I've lived here 35 years, been visiting for 50+. Midweek, Sunday afternoon thru Thursday, non-holiday, is always better.

@asajayunknown62907 ай бұрын
Define "best"? Smaller crowds and great weather are the norm in September after LD and first part of October. May, June, July, August, the first 8 hours of daylight (sunrise...) are usually gorgeous. But afternoons and evenings can be stormy. Get up early, midweek, and do whatever you have planned, especially during July (monsoon season).

First half of June. Midweek. Weekends involve traffic and crowds. And mornings! Afternoons in May, June, and July can often include thunderstorms, whereas the early part of the day is generally gorgeous.
