I like watching you sew anything. I love it when you sing. My plans pivot around my shoulder healing, I dislocated it just before Christmas and spent Christmas and New Years in the hospital and rehab. Was released yesterday. Hope to regain the use of my right arm. (I can wiggle my fingers now.) I have three dresses I will sew when I can. Also relearning crochet so I can finish Christmas presents.

I can't wait to see your Italian gown. If ever I was to make an over the top historic gown, it would be that one.

I'm excited to get started on it!

oh rebecca, you are going to love the margo anderson patterns!, the pattern paper is different to the kind like simplicity and mccall but I did a tudor gown pattern as well as another italian gown, forget what she called it but it was a 16th century one that had a variety of sleeve ideas. you're going to love the fiinished products you create with these gowns. I've had mine for a good few years now and I am still in love it , i feel like I own a museum piece.

Yeah - I would like to nail stays too. I have one that doesnt fit well, and is too stiff. So Im with you there on that. Upsizing or doing plus sized corsets and stays is a lot harder to feel comfy in, and not sure how to fix that problem. If you have trouble shooting ideas oor secrets that made yours comfy - i think a lot would like to watch that!

So far Regency stays have been the most difficult for me.

*extention to last post * So far my first plans for sewing in 2024 is my jack skeleton costume for the emerald city comcicon. I also got a pattern last year, I am very scared to alter it so i'll be tracing it and resizing the tracing . it's a replicated copy of an original pattern and it had a unique stamo on it with a crown it almost looked crest like. but the super fun thing about it is the illustraition of the dress, reminded me of princess maragerete's wedding dress. So It's going to be fun plus sizinf it but also changing it from a vintage wedding dress into a formal gown. I was thinking maybe royal blue. I do know it's the first pattern i purchased that cost a lot lol

oooh excited for all those. My plans sort of line up with yours. Apart from the Angelica gown and regency stays. That regency dress pattern you showed has a matching spencer :)

I saw that! I may have to get that too!

I love the sleeves on the Spencer, so cute. I've got them both in my basket waiting for payday.

I'm so excited for your sewing plans; they are very similar to mine. I'm currently making a regency dress and I have many yards of fabric set aside to make a gamurra. And then i want to make two 18th c gowns for a ball. One may be a mix of the amalia jacket and the Angelica Gown. The other will be a saque back

First I’m taking on Ash’s challenge from Ash LG to finish up or let go of as many of my projects/mending to-do’s carried over from last year as I can. Then I’d really like to make RenFest costumes based on Disney’s Robin Hood and Maid Marion. I bought the fabric last year but didn’t recover from my knee surgery as well or quickly as I expected, so I didn’t get them so much as started. I’d love to make it a reality though!

PS if you’d like to try your hand at that, I’d love to watch you make it first and then follow along! Lol

@@PocketFullofPoseys I thought so, too! I’m going to start by finally finishing the changes I made to my Princess Peach skirt that I set aside in October when my kid decided the week of Halloween that no he didn’t want to go trick or treating nor go to the mall’s costume contest/treat event. My motivation went *poof* lol
