I'm a Brit living in Eastern Europe, i just took delivery of the new duster a month ago. I have the expression trim level with the bi fuel engine, added the heated seats and steering wheel, and metallic grey paint. Here, i paid just under £17k. It's a great car for the money, has many safety features such as lane keeping, emergency breaking ect. I had to wait around 3 months for delivery, and they are made here. Interestingly, here Dacia offers a lower trim level called Essential, which starts at around £15k. It's very basic with analogue gauges and no infotainment display.

Its crazy cheap. The essential is coming to the UK too, won't expect big numbers though.

why the Uk market is so expensive? even the tax would be 20%.

How did you find the seats in the Journey? I have read they don't have adjustable lumbar support.
@maxtorques3 ай бұрын
@mrrikki1 seats were comfortable enough. You do get lumbar support for the driver on the extreme varient though.

@@maxtorques thanks sounds good. Yes I know on the extreme, I just didn’t want the wipe free seats that lots of European reviews say gets very sweaty in the summer. And I prefer the blue features on the journey.

@@mrrikki1, I just checked the UK configurator and saw the Journey and Extreme trims have different prices, whereas they have the same price in Romania, at least, but I believe in most if not all continental European countries.

2023 Kia gt-line or a new duster ?

@maxspooner63 oh yeah, sorry, Sportage
@maxtorques2 ай бұрын
@Zak-B2L well the Sportage sits in the class above (C segment) whereas the the Duster occupies the smaller B segment. There's a price gap of about £10,000 too so I think the fairer comparison with the Sportage will be with the Bigster when that lands next year alongside the facelifted Sportage.

@@maxtorques had a look and sportage a bit too expensive in nicer trim. Now wonder if 2023 niro 4 ev would be a better choice than duster 3 ...

@Zak-B2L both very different in their approaches, so I think it'll depend on your specific use case. Let me know what you go for in the end

The duster does not run Android Automotive, its just an Android based unit.
@maxtorques2 ай бұрын
That's what Android Automotive is. Just doesn't have Google Services.
@robincole-hamilton94822 ай бұрын
The reverse is true. It's not a Google-based system like most Renaults, but does run Android Auto once connected to your phone.
@maxtorques2 ай бұрын
@robincole-hamilton9482 Android Auto and Android Automotive are different pieces of software. You can get Android Automotive without Google services. Stellantis, Audi, Porsche, and BMW amongst others use the software this way.
