Looks great and is well equipped, but a manual-only option for the 4x4 model is a big oversight by Dacia. The Hybrid is the only model offered in Auto.

Yes, the Duster doesn't have a differential lock, so if a wheel loses traction, the power "leaks" through it thanks to the open differential (the open differential allows the wheels to spin at different speeds to allow the car to turn normally, as the outer and inner wheels turn differently in a corner). If it had a differential lock, both wheels could turn the same way because they would be tightly coupled, simply put.
