The Chrysler group as a whole is known for their neat features but they never deliver on reliability. Correct me if I'm wrong but they are also known for bad/buggy electronics and this will be all electric not to mention this is a first generation vehicle that is going to break the bank to 70-80% of their current consumers. I dont see this working out unless the government wastes more taxpayer money on EV rebates and discounts.

Despite the additional features and options in the new generation of Dodge I still have a preference for the older models.

I have doubts about the longevity of this new generation.

Dodge pulled a Sony and are going to find out that they don't understand their audience at all. You'd think they would have learned from the failure of the Mustang crossover Ford made, but I guess not. They do not understand that Tesla Bros and Hellcat Bros are not interchangeable. The Hellcat didn't get famous because it could sit at a charging station for 40 minutes and can drive you to your destination. It got famous because it could go bat-crap fast, sounds like a enraged exotic animal trying to break free from a trap, was talked about by almost every rapper, and talked about by every car guy possible. You aren't going to get that same response here. People don't want to go back to their RC car days.

no one wants a dodge all those hell cat owners rather have something nice like a m3 or cobra or corvette ect but have to get a dodge due to credit scores. the only thing dodge did is sell a really old car from 2005 ( magnum on the LX platform) for 20 years with minimal upgrades to low credit buyers that could not get into a nice brand. NO one is cross shopping dodge they are settling for dodge...

EV's get a bad rep because of Tesla and Musk, but they don't have a monopoly on the tech. if Stellantis or Ford or whoever can do it better, then I think it deserves a shot. me personally I don't care what's under the hood, I like going fast and batteries get you up to speed a lot quicker than Hemi's because you don't have to deal with throttle lag.

@@ting280I agree, that’s the point of free market competition. But Stellantis and Ford’s audience aren’t necessarily EV consumers or enthusiasts. So, when competing against Tesla in the EV market when their consumers don’t buy EV products (or in this case, why theirs?), it wouldn’t be a smart/profitable direction for them to go in. At least not to the average American consumer concerning Stellantis, it isn’t.

the gas ones like the 2023 Dodge Charger ranges from 5,100 pounds to 5,500 pounds. does that mean the EV is going to be like 6200lbs with only 400ish hp?! lmao

Fossil fuel is almost completely depleted. We have around 30 years left.
@brym446729 күн бұрын
well duh its a dodge LOL they all rot away after a few years, for example the millions of dodge neons and sebrings and interpids that have all disappeared in only like 20 years yet we still see tons of gm's and fords from that era.... when was the last time you saw a dodge nitro or caliber LOL
@brym446729 күн бұрын
@@orangewhip115 For decades, industry experts have said there are around 50 years of oil left, you realize we find new deposits all the time and are only becoming more efficient with crude oil in both refining and extracting not to mention hybrids and ev's using far less of the stuff. we will never run out of oil its made by the tectonic plates LOL and they are not stopping any time soon.

LOL only 20 seconds in and the kids already wrong saying the dodge charger always had a v8... this may shock you but in the 1980s the dodge charger had a 4 cylinder engine and was built on the omni platform.... they later changed it to the daytona and shelbys ect but still were not v8s.... maybe you need to do more research on cars or do a quick edit on the intro.
@ting28029 күн бұрын
I think people don't mention those because they weren't by choice, they were to meet regulations.

@@ting280 thats not what he said he said it always hada v8. tons of muscle cars downsized and wasnt a problem the foxbody mustangs had the svo cobra a turbo 4 cylinder, nothing wrong with the dodge turbo 4banger k cars either they were pretty reliable and faster than anything domestic pretty much. the dodge shadow still has a big following just like the srt4 neon
