They will sell enough. It's flashy and will get attention. It looks better than a Tesla (though it's not a better value out of the gate). I think Dodge will iterate on it and improve it over the first 2-3 years. Many current EV drivers will like it. Some EV drivers are purely pragmatic, but not as many as you might think. Vanity sets in very easily among car buyers. We're all human. If everyone else you know is driving a quiet, practical, cookie-cutter Model 3, then this will be very appealing. Maybe not for the muscle car crowd. That's fine. The V6 has tons of power, and I'm convinced a V8 option will appear after a couple of years. Pricing may be a point of contention though. They have to at least stay competitive with Tesla to some extent.

Definitely a nice mix. Since I started my motorhead interest from my 49 Ford flathead V8, through multiple displacement V8s, to my 04 GTO w/6sp and my little urban Spark EV w/326 lb ft of torque, I have throughly enjoyed the journey these last 57 years. I appreciate the evolution of engines, transmissions and electronics to EV world. I love the look of this and the power it will deliver but like every new vehicle hitting the market these days, the prices are way too high. Love the car, the options etc, and hope it is very successful.

Sure it’s all been said. 86k for a Scat and 70k for R/T. That’s a Supercharged Fully loaded DarkHorse. I like the Charger but it may not make financial sense. Considering that I bought a highly optioned Charger R/T Brand New in August 2020 for 38k total. I now it’s a completely different vehicle but that’s a helluva price hike.

This is a cool car. It might be a disappointment for true muscle car folks. Fair enough. There will be options for ICE muscle car people, like me, down the road. But this will bring in a lot of new people to the Dodge brand. A lot of current EV drivers will want this over a Tesla, and it's flashy and novel and there's always a crowd that wants to stand out. I will give the ICE 6 cylinder a close look. That's a lot of horses and you can get a V6 to sound really good. No doubt there will be people doing v8 engine swaps as well. I also 100% believe a V8 option will be there a couple of years down the line. They just want to push the EV for a couple of years alone to get it established. Also, Challenger will return. Mark my words. That won't happen without a V8. Hang in there mopar crew.
