They absolutely should not get rid of this draft style that’s what separates them from the other sports that hold drafts. I won’t be watching anymore if they do change the process.

It will still be televised. The plan is to do it like other leagues. Instead of every team gathering at the draft location like they do now, teams will pick from their home offices and Bettman or some other NHL official will announce the picks.
