Just skied mine today for the first time and I love them , they were quick and I found them very stable. I’m the bumps they rocked it. Cant wait to get some tree skiing when we get more snow.

I loved them in the bumps as well! I'm sure you'll enjoy the trees, too.

Hey man! I’m an 188cm/94kg advanced skier who historically have been more into ripping groomers, but now looking for a “soft”, FUN ski to bring more into the park/side hits/bumps and whatnot! At the moment I’m standing between three (different, but still kinda alike) skis to buy: Mirus Cor, Line Blade or Playmaker 91. This would be more of my “everyday-ski” except when it’s completely dumping snow. Which one do you think would suit the most?

The Blade stands out to me as an unnecessary outlier of this group--it's just on the funky/unique side of the spectrum. The Playmaker is more of a traditional twin tip and would work great as an every day ski. Mirus Cor is almost as weird as the Blade, but it fits in really well with what you're looking to do. It rips groomers like a slalom ski, but has a central feel to it that opens up creativity and playfulness for bumps, jumps, and trees. While the Playmaker is a bit more freestyle oriented, the Mirus Cor is about as interesting as it gets when it comes to skis these days.

have been the very active audience for this channel for a while, great review again Jeff! just wonder which one is lighter between ripstick and playmaker? for who pursue playfulness and maneuverability but doesn't ski switch or park, should I just pick ripstick or the other?
@SkiEssentials9 ай бұрын
The weight difference is minimal. If you are not in park or switch, I'd go with the Ripstick.

Would you go 91 or 101 for a Vermont skier? I’m worried the 101 will be less versatile day to day compared to the 91, and my other skis are batting in the 100 range

I’m on masterblasters and Scott scrappers for context, and am looking for something jibbier and that I can flick around moguls and woods

I think 91 makes more sense for VT skiers for most days. You may win a few battles with the 101 on the snowy days, but overall the 91 will win the war. Especially when it comes to quick turns in the bumps and trees--the 91 is amazing in that application.

hey how do these compare to an atomic bent 90, rossignol sender 90 pro or a line chronic 94? thanks!
@SkiEssentials8 ай бұрын
The Chronic is the most different of these skis in that it's actually got some weight to it, especially underfoot. The Sender 90 is pretty light and stiff while the Bent 90 is likely the most similar to the Playmaker 91 in terms of weight, flex, and overall capabilities.

@SkiEssentials thanks so much! Which would be best for playful, searching for side hits, groomers and park

Hey there. Would you say it's an easy to nose butter ski? Like easier than others? I have 22/24 Line HoneyBadger and I find it really difficult to nose butter. Tail butter I findsomewhat easy even if it's mounted just 1.5cm back from true center
@SkiEssentials9 ай бұрын
It's pretty flexible. I think you'll have no issues getting this 91 up on the nose.

Hey I’m a bit late but where would you mount them to ski mostly park?
@SkiEssentials10 ай бұрын
I'd say -3 from center is a good place to start on this ski.

What do you think are the key differences between the playmaker 91 and the Blackcrow captis, I cant make up my mind.
@SkiEssentials8 ай бұрын
Which one looks better? In reality, the Captis is built like a more traditional ski, so you're going to get a higher end of performance out of it. The edge grip is better than that of the Playmaker, which has a lighter and more flexible nature.

Are elan playmaker 91 durable
@SkiEssentials7 ай бұрын
As with any lighter weight ski that's meant to be used in the park, there are more durable options if that's your only priority.
