Also just wanted to add that I live in LA (yuck) and theres been huge apartment complexes popping up everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE over the past 10 yrs. Most of them are running around the average cost of a home 20 yrs ago. I think it largely has to do with how expensive homes are here now plus the more people live stacked on top of eachother the more tax revenue goes to the state per capita

Speculation about CA improving or changing anytime soon is a waste of time. As soon as Prop 16 (repealing the law of 1996 banning discrimination based on race gender etc) showed up on the ballot in 2020 I knew this state was toast. And plus all the conservatives are leaving so time to get off the Titanic before it completely slips under
