My experience so far with the exway flex pro 2: +my range(74kg) when riding like a complete maniac (avg+37kmph and hitting topspeed nearly every 2min with sports acceleration+only in turbo mode and while driving with LOTS of hill was: 32km! If you drive in gear 3(which is fast) with normal acceleration mode and not like me all the time max speed and crushing hills at 35kmph you will get easily 40km+ +remote is awesome (touchscreen, a lot of function,gyro for blinking,feels comfortable, lasts very long and no connection issues at all) -but there are a lof os settings read the online manual for the rexus remote +deck feels comfortable is concave and locks you in very good. It has some bounce and absorbs a lot, grip is great aswell +trucks are also good nothing to complain +torque in turbo mode with "sports" acceleration is very quick and more than enough for most (change the acceleration curve in the app) +top speed flat: 48kmph so very fast even with 90mm wheels +Wheels are solid nothing special and grip is like most wheels +comes with extra features that I love like diff lighting modes,guard protection,app support) The onyl bad thing is connecting app to board!!doesn't work with android only with ios and even there had problems Overall amazing value and enough torque,speed, features and customizability

super cool! love seeing thats to come! I like the lights and the remote, also seeing as you can turn off most features if needed is also a plus. This means that if you want the power, range etc of the Paragon you can still turn off the lights etc to make it suit you. I like the battery design also, I do not care for the cord hanging out but this could also allow a way for battery makers to have a easier time making packs for this board. That in itself can keep a board on the road longer and can create more jobs in the esk8 market. So my thoughts are this is a amazing board and anyone who has one should be happy with it. Keep kicking Butt Exway!

I love my x1 max, I would totally buy this if these features were applied to the x1 platform!! I imagine it with a bigger battery than the x1 max, maybe by having the batteries partially inside, and partially outside of the board. So the batteries would still be spread out across the length of the board, but the battery cell would stick out maybe an inch or half an inch, but not by much. That way they have room to double stack the batteries like bullet cartridges in a gun magazine. Or just make the wood deck thinner and use a full length battery like the evolve gtr. Then of course it would have the new, more powerful belt motors, led lights, and remote controller. That’s what I want.

Love it and with my current board coming in at 15 kg, the weight would actually be an improvement for me. Speaking of weight: I guess another + with the removable battery is, you can make the board itself lighter once you got where you're going. Despite getting about the same range, I constantly run out of juice and on-the-fly charging is a such a p.i.t.a, so the swap and go would be a dream come true for me.

Appreciate the great review, although I own the now previous gen of the Flex Pro and rode about 800km on it, i never found the appeal of it, people always mentioned that the Flex line is boosted like, but to me the Flex pro feels nothing like the boosted stealth or even a street board, it feels too heavy and the deck is just too high off ground, making it more cumbersome than even than some of the AT boards with DKP tracks. the wave, X1, and atlas all have their distinct characteristics, but the Flex line just felt redundant.

Daniel, are you able to include info on how loud these boards are? One of the reasons I enjoy hub motor boards is because they are significantly quieter. I am curious if this new generation of belt driven boards still sound drone-like, which is annoying for me as the rider and I imagine for others who are walking and enjoying the scenery around them? Thanks again.
@mshaftenberg7 ай бұрын
How can belt driven gear be more quiet? You may want to try other belts as these are the reason for loud sound. Every belt transmission will make emissions due to friction especially at high speeds.

On Exway's website, they say, one would need the 36T & 44T pulleys to use the Paragon (Riot) with the 120mm cloudwheels. If one buys the Paragon the way it is with its 90mm street wheels, what pulleys came with them? aren't they 36T pulleys already? & could you explain why one would need 2 different size pulleys for just one board. All I'm asking is, what size wheels can I fit on the Paragon's stock pulleys and what exact pulley size do I need to purchase to be able to fit the 120mm cloudwheels, thank you.
@DanielKwan6 ай бұрын
Yes the stock pulleys are 36T. Putting 120mm Cloudwheels on the stock 36T pulleys would reduce torque compared to the stock 90mm wheels. So that lowers your acceleration and ability to get up hills. If you find the Paragon to be way more powerful than you need, then you probably don’t need the 44T pulleys.
@Sir-Kay6 ай бұрын
@@DanielKwan So, in other words, to use the 120mm wheels the way it ought to be used without losing torque, I should get the 44T pulley with the board right? Please, don't think these questions are dumb, remember you guys get sent these boards, I don't even own a board or access to none in this elitist E-industry. Hi Daniel! I know you aren't into chunky boards, but did you get a chance ride the Zealot S2?? I LOVE my Zealot S, it's basically a perfect board for me. I was excited for the S2, but it's much heavier, although that's not my biggest problem. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THE STEERING! It's currently super dangerous and unrideable at speeds above 15 MPH. I'm an aggressive rider. Whenever it hits a tiny bump or pebble it quickly zig zags SEVERAL TIMES with no bearing on the direction of your lean. It's super scary, like hitting a metal grate at high speed. I thought it might be the wheels, but they appear the same as the Zealot S. I tried loosenin and tightening the trucks more. Nothing seems to help. I have no idea why it's jumping around and trying to buck me off like a mechanical bull at medium and high speeds. Otherwise it's pretty good with an over-sold range. Any ideas how I can fix it?

We should strive for lighter, more commutable boards rather than more flashy ones. In the end of the day it's a commute device, not a light-show. I think the remote is a move in a wrong direction. Using a touchscreen while moving in 20-50 km/h is a bad idea. E-board remotes should have pronounced, clicky, simple and intuitive to use buttons/triggers/wheel while being as small as possible. I hate having to explain security that I'm carrying a skateboard remote rather than a weapon, not to mention the space it takes in my pockets. Honestly kind of feels like this board is trying to maximize on gimmicks and flashiness rather than on good fundamentals that make a good commuting machine. I like your take, but I feel you may have gone a little too easy on them because they're Exway. I too really love the brand and even own their Wave (which is amazing), which is exactly why I think we should let them know when they're going the wrong direction by making their boards unnecessarily flashier, heavier and their remotes too big and complex. That's not leading the way in terms of innovation, that's taking bad trends too far.
@A_Haunted_Pancake7 ай бұрын
it's a commute device ... for you. I love cruising around at night with my full lightshow on. I also disagree on the as-small-as-possible remote. Sure this one is rather big, but where I live it gets rather cold, so something you can use with thick gloves is kind of important ... for me :)
@rosenpin7 ай бұрын
@@A_Haunted_Pancake I hear you But then it still sounds like the touchscreen won't be a good fit for you as well
@ejgaming65966 ай бұрын
I personally like it for those exact reasons. I obviously wouldn’t use the touchscreen at high speeds. I don’t have to always have the lights on. But just like how I like sports cars I like flashy, so it’s less boring for the fun times. For commuting, if I need range I’ll get another battery. If I wanted to go off road, I’d just get a bike. If the distance is super crazy and need to go faster then I’d just drive or get an e-scooter.
