I keep my stitch markers on a Michaels jewelry charm bracelet. I carry my current project in a basket so I can just-put the bracelet on one of the handles. I keep a scrap finger-weight yarn ball for lifelines in the basket as well. I put a darning needle with a claw stitch marker through the eye so the needle doesn’t disappear into the yarn and thread scissors stabbed into the scrap yarn so bam-everything I need in an easy to carry basket.

I keep stitch marker sets on small safety pins and then throw them all together in a Totoro tin I bought in Japan. The tin makes me smile every time I pull it out.

Obsessed with my chiaogoo set!! I asked for all their mini sets for Christmas last year. I don't like magic circle so knitting sweaters has never been better than with the minis! Fun trick for using minis -- I like to use a 5in needle on one side and a mini on the other to help my hands with knitting small circumference. Doesn't work for everything but it's always my go to if it does.

How about an earring holder / jewelry tree for your decorative stitch markers? Amazon has a huge selection of them. Just an idea. 🙂

Love my chiaogoo needle set. I’ve got a sweater planned in Peer Gynt and your video has made me excited to get started on it. The de rerum natura yarns are lovely and are some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy working with them

Also requested a chiaogoo set from my husband this Christmas, it’s taunting me from under the tree! Can’t wait to get my hands on it!

Love my Chiaogoo needles. They also have bamboo interchangeable tips that fit with the red cables. Sometimes a wooden needle works best.

Really enjoyed your video ❤! I’ve been using the Chaiogoo 4” set since 2017 and it is so versatile! In the little pouch with the needle stoppers, you will also find a steel joiner which lets you join together multiple cords to achieve just the circumference you’re looking for. I also recommend additional lengths of cords, as well as the little steel converters that can be used when you need to use a larger needle that doesn’t fit into the smaller end cord. I subsequently purchased the little blue set and finally the red set. For socks, I still prefer the 9” fixed circs by Chaiogoo and I have two needles in the sizes that I use for socks.

Another great program! I agree, the Chiaogoo set is the absolute best. I have small hands so I use the 4” tips. I purchased it back in 2019 when the set was just over $100. Crazy how expensive it’s gotten but it’s so worth it! I use the outside pocket for my travel notions, so convenient.

I wish I had bought the 4” instead of the 5” as I’ve has to buy fixed circulars in a range of sizes for 40cm as I don’t like to use magic loop for necks or sleeves. Otherwise I love them.

I think you will like Brooklyn Tweed Shelter. I can’t usually wear a rustic yarn, but the Shelter blocked into a next to skin soft fabric, but still has a wooly look and feel. Enjoyed your podcast!

I got one for my birthday…but I’m getting the chiagoo twist shorties interchangeable 2 & 3 inch for Xmas. I was very good this year 😊

I had no idea that the little heart in the Chiaogoo set was for leverage! I’ve just been twisting with the pin and praying the needles don’t unscrew. For that, this video is preemptively my favorite gift this year!

Love the recap of your favorites from 2024. ❤ definitely want to make one of the hats you suggested, thinking the one made with Knit picks.

Merry Xmas Amy. Fabulous review of your favs. I too am just entering my mildly more toothy yarn phase. A bit more character to the knitted piece is what I am seeing so far ha. 💙🧡

this was a great video! I also really liked tall beanies this year, I've made two Brownstone Beanies and I'm working on a Manhattan hat. another one of my favorites is a Windset Hat by Alicia Plummer. I made it with a single strand of boucle which was a little challenging but it's so fluffy and warm :)

I have a lot of the same favorites! Love my ChiaGoo needle set. Mine didn’t come with that little red heart thing and I wonder if I can find it on its own. It looks so handy! I also really appreciate the insights you have about yarn. I’ve got pretty sensitive skin and sometimes I have a hard time picking yarns because of the potential itch factor. I got some juniper moon farms yarn because it was a really good price but I was still a bit worried it would be too scratchy for me. Now I can’t wait to make something with it because it sounds like it will block out perfectly and be really comfortable!

Def want to try the Isager mohair but it's hard to come by without the expensive shipping. I would highly recommend trying the Biches and Buches le petit silk mohair. It's literally a soft fuzzy dream, softer than any other mohair I've tried.
