Whoa! I’d totally forgotten that you’re a left-handed knitter. I was really confused when I first saw you knitting your swatch. Very cool. Thank you for sharing the process. Process vlogs are some of my favourite types of videos to watch and you’re always so professional and detailed anyway in your videos.

I knitted this blouse, almost beeing at the end of the body. I did not use the recommended yarn and my blouse was too heavy. I unravelled everything and reconsidering starting again in a more suitable yarn. Your version looks so good on you. Congrats!

I just found your page this week and now I see you’re a fellow lefty! Gives me hope to one day knit as well as you. I get so nervous about doing things wrong and my stitches going in the wrong direction.
@vdances4293 ай бұрын
I'm a lefty knitter too! You never have to worry about your stitches being wrong since ever stitch we make is a mirror image of the pattern. Ex: the pattern works right to left and puts a left leaning increase on one side and a right leaning increase on the other. But we're working left to right and our leans are opposite, so it ends up the same. I hope that helps/makes sense!

Love the Sevilla blouse in that black Amy, looks so effortlessly classy, makes me want to knit in navy/black. Even pre-block it looked great. I like how this vlog commemorates the time of your life (i.e. moving house) this project happened in! That yarn tangle gives me nightmares, it's something I usually ask my dad to pretty please fix for me (he used to fish as a young boy so prides himself on being able to detangle any kind of fine line!) I notice you used the shortest wire (24") from your Chiaogoo set, I have been looking at purchasing the complete set. Can I ask, how did you decide between the 5"and 4" tip set? Also, what needle did you use for the sleeves? I considered getting the blue shortie Chiaogoo set as well so I'd be able to do sleeves...
@neknits3 ай бұрын
I use 5" for most projects and would only use 4" tips for small circumferences, like hats and sleeves. The longer needles I find are more comfortable for sweater bodies, shawls, and other large pieces of fabric!
@swietoju3 ай бұрын
Please share your superpower (untangling yarn) with us! ☺It happens to me so often! Also, I would love to know how do you knit when watching tv, can you knit while not looking at needles? Does it come with experience? I'm a beginner knitter and can never focus on the plot when knitting, hence this question.
@neknits3 ай бұрын
Knitting without looking definitely comes with practice! Do it a lot, and soon it'll become muscle memory (start with stockinette in the round!)

I like them, and the rubber heart they include with the set is a game changer! It really allows you to tighten the needle against the cord so it doesn't come undone.
