I realize it was an old dried out wooden tinderbox, but always sad to see pieces of history disappear like this. Thank you to all of the fire crews that got this under control eventually and no damage to any exposures.

I have never seen utility pull a breaker like that, I'm used to them going up in a bucket. THAT WAS AWESOME !!!!! Thanks for the share

It's easier using a bucket at that height, but he did a great job with the pole. Takes a steady hand to hit a ring that small.

Maybe they didn’t have the time to wait for the bucket.

Excellent video coverage, especially appreciated the quadcopter follow-up on the 2nd day. What a beautiful picturesque NH town, sad to see. Subscribed. 👍👍👍

Glad that everyone made it out okay, but sad that the two cats didn't. The structure probably went through multiple renovations which added to the difficulties in fighting that fire.

I wonder if a metal roof is even legal. They would have knocked the fire down a lot sooner. Great job covering this fire and showing the next day was awsome.
@rapman57912 ай бұрын
Why wouldn’t a metal roof be legal? A metal roof is completely legal all over the country.. More than 50% of the roofs in Mew Hampshire are metal roofs. They last decades longer than shingles and are very popular.
@rapman57912 ай бұрын
The roof had zero bearing on how quick the fire was put out. More manpower would have made a huge difference, not a metal roof.
@skimmer87742 ай бұрын
@@rapman5791 BS. A normal wood n shingle roof could have been cut open allowing water to be put on fire. Or it would have burned through allowing for the same.

Real Old Dried Out Wooden Tinderbox, Good Knockdown 🔥 Saved The Surrounding Exposures, I'm Surprised The Chief 👨🏼🚒 DIdnt Pull The Car 🚙 Away From The Structure. Capeesh. 🤺🤺🤺🤺🇺🇲
@capicolaspicy3 ай бұрын
Since it appears the point of origin was front of ground floor, maybe the car was already involved, and they would never pull a vehicle anywhere if it already starting to burn. Life safety restrictions!

Great attack from above..first time I saw 2 streams from one platform....some FD in the past have used the platform to observe the fire never to put water on it...

Hard to put out fire under a metal roof... Just no good way to do it.

Stopped at Udderly Delicious for ice cream several times. Don't know if this fire was caused by an electrical problem, but I wouldn't be surprised. Old wiring wouldn't be sufficient to handle the load from al the freezers and equipment.. The building was a firetrap

You’ve never seen a utility worker pull the breaker before? Maybe I’m just used to seeing more things being from the city. They use the pole to pull breakers all the time . That woman & guy on the video were acting like they were watching someone cure cancer for the first time. 🤷♂️ it’s really not a big deal.
