Finally after a long waiting period, I bought Gurkha 6.2. It’s felt like a pride owning Gurkha! Within a month drove 1200 kms both urban & off roading like beaches, lakes & mountains! I own Force Gurkha exterme 2.2 , it is a phenomenal car. There is absolutely no need to worry about service network as this car shares many components with the Force TT / Trax you can get it checked in any of Force garages which services the TT. No need to reach Force authorised service station if it is far for you.

I am thinking between 5 door Gurkha, Scorpio N and upcoming 5 door Thar. Gurkha's downside is lack of airbags. India roads are still not super safe, so I think I will choose safety first, unless I will change my mind not to travel too much, then Gurkha maybe will be best unless new Thar will have better ground clearance and other angles better, then new Thar will be better than Gurkha, and need to check flexibility of suspension, which off-roader has more flex. Dif locks it is cheaper to install than to change articulation

If Force was to sell Gurkha more(in cities) it will need to go Mahindra way which will be more features and a bit less offroad power. Because in city people usually go for features. This car with its build will mostly sell in rural/remote areas where roads are bad.

Thank you Faisal for seconding my thoughts. I have bought it and I LOVE it. I love the every drive I take with it. Just would have liked that Force would have done better QoS on the car. As you pointed for me the reverse camera is not working well. The Trip meter on the thing is wonky. Sometimes shows the trip kilometers sometimes just shows ODO reading.

The interiors feel a bit lackluster, hard plastics and design is also to everyone taste... They have increased the power and torque with a dedicated snorkel and high ground clearance with better approach and departure angles... The 5 door version is a good buy but when the thar 5 door version comes out with more features and ADAS and a better pricing force gutkha will feel the punch.... Nice work👍

Thar is better overall if you take services features and mileage into account This Gurkha is meant strictly for off-roading as the features are missing, 2.6litre will return poor mileage and service network is not as wide Jimny is overpriced and underpowered

None. Gurkha is a half hearted job. Jimny is better that the other two Thar is good but the ride quality is bumpy and it feels light. Its all about which car you like the most so that you will be happy to make compromises with.
