Standard Lariat upgrades over XLT, cooled seats, memory seats, leather seats, heated steering wheel, power tilt and telescoping steering column with memory, rain-sensing wipers, 4wd auto, projector headlamps, LED taillights, ambient lighting, power folding mirrors, and Pro-Access tailgate. If you want those, it's worth the extra $7K. However, both trim levels are about $10K too high.

Lariat is a great trim. Our 2019 has the 3.5 Liter eco boost with plenty of power to pull a horse trailer. Nice review.

This is specced almost exactly like my dream truck, 2024 Lariat Celestial Silver with the chrome. This truck is Carbonized Gray and it doesn't look too bad either.

I'm picking up a new 2024 Lariat Super Crew in a couple of days. At this time, Aug, 2024 dealers are discounting these trucks $5-7K off MSRP. You can still order a 2024 but will take 2 1/2-3 months. Not many 5.0 Lariats in Rapid Red on the lots, especially without the moon roof which I never use. Mine will not have one. Trading in my like new 2018 Lariat, 5.0, with just under 39K miles. Had it 6 years and no issues after the PCM update, fixed the oil usage problem early on. It's been a great truck. I wanted this new one with more features like Adaptive Cruise and Pre-collision braking. Great review, thanks!

Toyota and Dodge ditched their V-8s for 2025 which I think is a stupid move. You can't get a V-6 in a Tacoma or Highlander anymore. Nothing but 4 cylinder turbos in those for 2025. I think it's dumb but what do I know? I'm just a consumer who will show them with my wallet. What to go Ford for keeping the V-8s alive!

I have got the tremor with a 5.o Love it every day and brings me a smile when i go off the ramp and merge to the highway in the roaring V8 . Everyday a happy feeling .

F150 front end looks great, the HD though not so much nicer wheels, better lighting, power passenger, memory seat, better stereo probably, rear sliding window, folding mirrors standard probably, better cab insulation, maybe some other kick knacks......possibly better discount and for sure better resale value still a more expensive truck but thats why there is 5 or 6 trims, lol

It's a shame that the highest trim level you can get the 5.0 is the lariat. They should have ran the 5.0 on every trim level and kept the analog gauges on every trim level and I would be all for it. Greatly disappointed at ford with these new f150s

I am probably going 501A and 5L this time around. My last two have been 302A's with 2.7 and 3.5L. The 3.5 pulls like a freight train, especially with modest upgrades. But I do miss the simplicity and sound of a V8.

You get a lot more than that..... with a lariat, you get power pedals, power telescoping/tilting wheel, power folding mirrors, heated and cooled front seat, heated passenger seats, leather seats, more adjustable power seats with lumbar, AUTO 4X4 mode (cannot get that at all in an XLT), Memory driver functions (seats, mirrors, etc)...... And, you didn't mention that the new 5.0 V8 went to a rubber timing chain (kevlar reinforced) over a metal chain..... and also has Cylinder Deactivation. That has proven to be a reliability liability for all manufacturers that have utilized it..... a nightmare for GM, Honda, Ram.... etc. They ruined the engine with Cylinder deactivation.....

A long time ago Harley touring bikes went with Kevlar reinforced rubber drive belts instead of the chain. They have proven very reliable and would see harder use than one in an engine, I would think. Many outboard motors also use rubber drive belts as well as older Honda CRVs. Serpentine drive belts on all engines are made that way and are very reliable. Hopefully they'll be fine.

Little to no towing or off roading (I know; I’m that guy). Thoughts? They’re about the same price I Cana actually get the 7.3 250 spec’ed well cheaper than the 150… thoughts?

I had a 21 XL 2.7, and it gave me problems after 3 years. Lag, power loss, struggled to reach 100 mph and struggled to reach the fuel economy stats. It was good in the beginning, though. If I'm not mistaken, I think I heard they made some improvements to the 2.7 since then, but I'm not sure. But I do feel that the engine itself was working harder pulling the truck and needed more horsepower. I traded it in for a blacked out 24 XLT PB and so far I'm liking it
