TRD Pro will not match this. Way less power, no locker in the front, identical clearances, and their diffs break really easily. Not to mention Live Valve and Watts-link for greater stability and a way tougher chassis in the Ranger. Toyota also has fake leather and cheaper materials than the Raptor, along with an overall design language that screams LEGO. For a 5k difference, the gap in specialness is pretty large. The shocks in the seat is fun, but it also doesn’t have the awesome Raptor bucket seats and the loss in communication would suck out in the desert.

Not necessarily true, I went to my local dealer to order one but unfortunately the dealers one allocation for the raptor trim was already spoken for. I called a dealer from my state capitol and they had 2 allocations, one was used by their sales manager and one for a customer which had a 10k mark up. I then called another dealer from a smaller town who still hadn’t used their allocation to which I took, they sold to me for sticker price. There are dealers out there that will sell at MSRP.

But something like push button start and keyless entry I don’t want due to the complexity and added cost. It’s really not that hard to understand and comprehend that some people like simple things, but apparently it is for you. The higher end models have the push button start and keyless entry for those that want it.

First of all, you're not going to be able to get it, 2nd if a dealership does happen to get one through allocation, the markup and dealer added smoke is going to push the price into the stratosphere, then if you are actually stupid enough to buy one, the recalls are going to be off the hook.

Looks OK, but not great. Chevy more aggressive, this truck is still pretty reserved looking. I like the style of the headlights, but the overall stance is the problem. Wheelbase looks shorter, even though in reality it's longer. Wheelwells tucked up too far toward the cab.

Exterior looks nothing like a Nissan and that first point is a good thing. TRX interior in a vehicle that costs 30k less (and that’s comparing a base TRX to a loaded Ranger Raptor) and likely performs about the same in a desert. I think it looks sick, and much better than the LEGO styling of the Tacoma. I’m still unsure of if it’s better-looking than the Canyon.

I have the 2020 version in Lariat trim. Why does this STILL not have rear seat air vents? The new Colorado/Canyon has figured that out, but here you get a Pain Box-style hole syraight outta Dune
