Wow that ambient demo is inspiring stuff. Honestly most guys really can't justify such a big pedalboard, but you put it to great use and actually "play" your pedalboard like it is another instrument.

Thank you! Yeah I really enjoy the ambient side of things, and using pedals to give me those weird ambient textures I’m looking for. I know guys that build strategic ambient boards, but I like having a lot of gain to. So I think I’m like right in the middle lol

Thank you!!!! Thats awesome you are picking them up, I definitely recommend them to everyone. But yeah for the diso you'll want the one with the POLREV so you can flip the phase. They are like real amps, so not every amp is in phase with eachother

@@anthonygroves16 Hey man, thanx for reply! I do think Canvas Stereo by Walrus Audio could be perfect but it doesn't have polrev. Do you think is so essential to have polrev? The point is I can't find diso plus in europe (i'm from Italy) and if i decide to buy it from pinstripe website, passing through the customs it might be a problem due to the price. I'm pretty sure i will pay some extra fees. Is WA Canvas Stereo good too?

Yeah with the tonex you’ll definitely want something that can flip phase for you. There are cheap options if getting a diso is hard where you are at. The easiest and cheapest solution would be to just flip that phase at the board. You’ll have have to do that everywhere you go. Goodwood also makes a good di you can use to flip phase, or use there interfaces to do that into your canvas. The last way would be to get a phase reverse xlr adapter, they make them so you plug them right into your xlr, then plug that into your di. And it will flip the phase

I enjoy gain, I love feeling that thick overdrive, and it responding back to me in a way. It makes me play better. So I’ve just learned to lean in to, since that’s what’s make me, me.

Wow that’s a board! 😄💪🏻 If I may ask: how do you change Tonex One settings in a live situation? I am thinking about buying 2 as well, but I don’t want to have to press 2 pedals if I need a different amp. How did you solve this?

So even when I had the big tonex’s I never changed my amps live. It just not something I do, I set my amps for the set and leave them. But there is a way on the tonex ones to have all 3 presets and you can cycle through them. But if you need more than that, you’ll need to get the big ones.

🔥 board! Do you run into clipping issues on the tonex’s? I feel like there isn’t a ton of head room and if I want heavy verb, it’s gonna clip.

I don’t, but I keep my input trim at zero. I would check there first for you. Also would check the captures you are using. If you are using a EOB or dirtier starting point on the tonex capture. There won’t be a lot of head room in the capture. If you want more head room, try and find captured that are cleaner. Then use pedals like I am to give you that EOB tone.

@@anthonygroves16 ya, I use tone factor’s stuff and theirs are set at +15 on the input trim.

I believe they prefer their captures to be at +8.5 I think +15 is way to high, and that will definitely cause you to clip and have no headroom in any capture. Try backing them down to about 8 and see how that feels.

I’m not aware of anyone capturing compressors in the tonex one, I’m not sure you can. But I also just personally wouldn’t use the built in compression for something like that.

Yup, there isn’t. Kenyon mentioned it before. It definitely adds headroom if you max it out. If you turn it the other way, all the way down will cut the signal all together.
