This car actually looks really good as a base model

Your test vehicle did not have acoustic laminate windshield and front door glass which are part of the optional Luxury Pkg (also includes Head Up Display and rear heated seats). Well worth the $900 price. That would make the interior quieter. Maneuverability is helped by the 20” wheels which has a smaller/tighter turning diameter than the 22” wheels.

Agreed with the engine sound….the growl doesn’t quite match the 3.6 (which I loved), but yes, when you get to speed it is the quietest, smoothest car I ever owned. Nice review.

We will never spend this high of price on a vehicle this size with a 4-cylinder engine, it needs at least a 3.6 V6.

My 23 Hyundai sonata has 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine -- the same that Acadia has but is less than half the price. However, some people don't ask V6. They just need the vehicle for everyday tasks -- going to work, school, stores and other errands. 4 cylinder works well for that. Also the emphasis isn't the engine in Acadia. It's interior comfort, cargo room, high tech, fancy infotainment etc etc -- that's the kind gmc targeted.

@@abc71277 Note quite. Not all 2.5l 4-cyl engines are created equal. Sonata - 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque, Acadia - 328-hp turbocharged with 326 pound-feet of torque.

If you use the normal mode will the engine sound the same as the sport mode? Will it be slower?
