Once they stop making manual transmission I lost interest in the Accord. I probably will buy an older generation before I buy this new generation...plus they're design is bland and ugly as hell compared to the past 3 generation Accords.

I'm not trying to be a dick for real but anybody that knows Honda knows a Civic is always cheaper than an accord of that same year and same particular model. A base Civic will always be cheaper than a base accord. Same goes for mid-tier and top end models. The Civic will always be cheaper. Maybe not better but definitely cheaper. It just goes in line with Honda's, just like Toyota with the base brand Corolla and then the Camry right above it.

I know someone who just got one, the LX. It's pretty nice, drives well. Has enough power for typical city driving and highway, though it does feel like it's on the low end for power to weight ratio. I noticed the heater didn't blow very hot air, not sure if that's a common thing with these models. I'm used to heaters blowing super hot when turned up. Overall the car is good for the asking price 26k at 10k miles.
@shenlei14262 күн бұрын
Only if the gas price is very high and you drive a lot. Otherwise civic is definitely cheaper to buy and own.
@Iegend172 күн бұрын
If you get hatch or higher trim civic it will be the same price as the accord and no you are wrong about maintenance because it’s a Honda.

Here I am 2 years later. I am buying a used 2022 Venue limited. It only has 41000km and looks and drives like brand new. Can't wait to pick it up on Monday. This car ended up costing me less than half what I would have spent on the car I looked at first with similar features (honda crv 2022) Yes the CR-V is well known for reliability, but this Venue still has manufacturer warrantee up to 100000km (drivetrain) or 2 more years so I feel confident it will be a good purchase for me. In a couple years when warrantee is about to expire, I'll trade up for something else.

This is sick! I’m looking at tuning my 2019 accord 2.0T, It’s stock rn tho… you think it’d be fine if I tuned it before I purchase after market parts? Or would it be fine if I just tuned it for now, and tune it again later with the new parts? NEED YOUR OPINION
@dairy32073 күн бұрын
Also was it just plug and play? No need to do anything else to the ECU prior?

@potownrob3 күн бұрын
You don’t say why you would go with the Accord over the Civic, other than the gas mileage (which you present as a separate thought from the one about it being better). I’d imagine it has to do with the ride and seat comfort.
@potownrob3 күн бұрын
Your math/logic about Accord being better since it gets better gas mileage (no longer true for ‘25 since higher trim Civics are now hybrids) doesn’t add up when you consider how much more expensive it is. Also, depending on the kind of driving and the driver, the 1.5 turbo models might not be far off from a hybrid. 😮

I have the same Accord and I would like to straighten the screen so that it has a more vertical position instead of looking tilted. I'm going to figure out how to do it, I imagine printing a new base with holes that supports the screen with a 3D printer but this time with a more vertical orientation. Do you know anything about this? I looked for info but it seems that no one has done it.
@akui888 күн бұрын
number one complaint on the forums is this doesn't have a quick way to disengage engine auto start/stop. you have to change it into sport mode, or go into settings on the touch screen to disengage that feature EACH time you start the vehicle.

I noticed if you have a CVT sports mode/Paddle shifters, it down shift by it self once you hit the brake, it no make sense the minus or downshifting manually. Traditional automatic trans doesn't do that.

Finally someone reviewed the base model 2025 unlike all the other videos I’ve seen so far. I would like to see a in-depth video about the infotainment system because Hyundai upgraded it for the 2025 model year but all the reviews I’ve seen aren’t in depth at all for it
