It's is the sexiest stock truck I've ever seen. The proportions are so spot on. Such a beautiful truck. I want a zr2 bison bad, but not in my budget. Zr2 maybe next time, but gonna be hard to pull me out of a gladiator. Will most likely buy another gladiator when I'm done with this one if I. An make a deal happen again.

The hydraulic bump stops only come factory on the ZR2 Bison. You can order them for the GMC Canyon and have the dealer install them.

The jounce stops are included they just didn’t get put on before shipping. I looked at both the ZR2 and the AT4X and I chose the AT4X hands down. It’s leather it cleans easily and if it doesn’t a little white shoe polish does the trick.

Thank you for showing the payload. I usually like GMC trucks more than Chevrolet trucks but in this case because of the white that each and every one of the canyon AT4X have I would choose the Colorado ZR2 or the Bison.

I just picked up a new 2023 fully loaded Red Colorado ZR2. I like the interior more in them. I don't care for the white interior at all. I also didn't want 35's they are even worse for gas milage and I'm happy with the 33's.

The zr2 is what I would buy too. I'd probably put 34s mud terrains or hybrid tires on it but that's about all. Love the zr2. Congratulations on yours

I only have a Colorado Trail Boss but it’s paid for, I would hate that giant spare blocking my rear view! I love these new mid size GMs! I want a another inch lift and some Colorado ZR2 wheels and I’m happy!

They seem to be doing fine. There are multiple channels on KZbin showing pretty heavy duty rock crawling with the new Colorado ZR2 platform and they are fine.

I just couldn’t have confidence wheeling that truck with 35 inch tires and independent front suspension…but then again I’m old school and seen numerous tie rods break on the trails over the years.

I know the Colorado version doesn’t have the white but I really like the looks of the canyon better. I really hope GMC will make the white interior optional for the 2025 model year because I really don’t want white in an off-roading truck.

I love my gladiator and feel that it's the best truck for my needs. But my second place choice would be a standard colorado zr2 with 34s on stock wheels. And when it's time to get a new vehicle if I can not get the deal I want on a new gladiator the zr2 might be in my driveway. But the gladiator is my first choice

Does anyone know what rear differential is run in these trucks? I was told a Dana Wide M220 in rear & Wide M210 in front - though the M220 shows to be a 12 bolt when the rear diff under my AT4X is a 10 bolt.

Should be a bom number stamped on the axle tube. That number will let you look up the info on Dana's site I believe

@klforrest573 I don't know how they do each axle but when I was helping a buddy get a new axle years ago I remember learning about the bom number and it was right on the tube easy to see. And maybe someone that knows for sure will chime in. I'm definitely not a Dana expert😂

After putting on my thick, thick glasses I found some microscopic little bitty stamped dots. I love this truck. LOVE IT. But, the dealer's number was only $5K less than a Sierra 1500 AT4X non-AEV... So for an additional $5K I just took the full size, 6.2 V8 and all the trimmings. Sleep soundly at night.

Does AEV provide an extra lift on top of the 3inch lift for the ZR2/AT4X? I was looking at this and it looks like it has more wheel well room than my Colorado zr2

I don't believe there is any more lift on the aev or bison over the 3 inches that's standard on the zr2 or at4x. But on the aev and bison the wheel wells and fenders are different. So is the wheel offset.

Your 2022 Tacoma is an amazing truck. And one of the last built to be as reliable and dependable. Today with these new trucks and new prices you technically could buy this Colorado or Canyon bison for less money than a 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro cost. The difference is are crazy for what you get with your money these days.

I have a Chevy 24 colorado Zr2 with 5500 miles on it that i just traded for a 24 gmc canyon at 4x aev. The white on the inside really is not bad in real life. I agree about the comments on the Zr2 bison, but I got 11400 off sticker, which is unreal. No zr2 bison discounted that much that I could find. Just got lucky finding a dealer willing to deal.
