I went from 3 Silverado HDs to the Tundra limited Crewmax 6.5, it simply has the smoothest power train I’ve ever experienced in a truck, and the ride is like silk, the Sierra is the better looking truck objectively , but not a good enough reason to choose it, Toyotas are bullet oroof

I agree 100%! They should have included a power liftgate, that would have been a nice touch. The only "issue" I would have with the Tundra is the lack of storage inside the cab. The battery pack takes up premium storage space in the truck. I'm not an engineer so I don't have a solution to that but I'm hoping the Toyota engineers can solve it.

I used to feel that way until I seen these new Tundra Engines having catastrophic engine failure. Seems like GMC is more dependable now. Isn’t that crazy!

I saw a little window in the back of the Ultimate that slides open manually and the Tundra has a power panoramic roof and the entire back window power lowers as well.

You didn’t mention that the rear or bed window on the Tundra rolls down completely. I am really enjoying my 2024 Tundra 1794 iForce Max. The leather and walnut interior is very appealing. The power to the road is amazing. I drove the GMC’s, Dodges and Fords before making my decision of which to purchase . My choice was easy. They are all very expensive. That part is not very easy.

Easily hands down the Tundra. The Tundra headlight stack is sleek and smooth looking, GMC/Ford always seems to fail with double-stack headlights. Tundra doesn't suffer from little-man syndrome like the GMC for a small screen. GMC has no panoramic roof option. The baseball stitching inside the GMC looks stupid, leave that look for a baseball. GMC doesn't have a rear glass that folds down completely, but it does have reflective chrome on the inside (pretty sure that is not a bonus). GMC has the goofy look of two-tone chrome on the outside. GMC tows less with a max towing of 8,900 lbs. With the Tundra, I don't have to worry about DEF, higher oil consumption, limp mode from regen (or even having to wait for regen), and wintertime games of plugging the truck in. GMC also suffers from DFM system (which has been problematic for owners) and they have had transmission issues. looking

I have GMC with the Diesel engine, I never experienced any of the issues you are talking about so far with one hundred and fifty thousand on it.

The Denali Ultimate front end is much nicer looking than that one on the Tundra. Looking at each vehicle, I must admit that my choice would be the Denali hands down! Tundra has a way to go to match the GMC. Thanks for the nice review, Cory.

The GMC Denali Ultimate front end is absolutely #1. The Silverado tailgate and brake lights are also #1. If I could purchase the Denali with the 6.2L gasser without auto start/stop and cylinder deactivation it would really be "the ultimate"! Thanks for sharing.

Can’t disable the cylinder deactivation and must remember to push the button (each start up) to disable the auto start/stop feature.

@@DH-mf2lv There are a couple things you can do, you can buy a Pulsar LT that will disable DFM/AFM and auto stop. Or, you can buy a Range DFM/AFM disabler that plugs into the OBD port. Or, you can shift the truck into L9 and that will disable the auto stop and the DFM for free.

I see that the Tundra is missing the gloss black on the A and B pillar, I think a black contrast would look more according to the model than a single color throughout the truck, I hope it is just something they correct in the final model.

@@JIPlatium DEF is just like putting windshield fluid in the car and the Regen happens when you have a heavy load or elevation of 200' plus. I'm at sea level and on West Coast so I'm warm and toasty. Diesel is cheaper on West Coast compared to the east.

On the dyno...chevys are overly rated horsepower lol...there always 50 to 80 horsepower short on the dyno ... ...tundra power band shows a smooth linear incline in the dyno within 10-20 horsepower rating....plus I have had both trucks...the warranty and customer service is night and day!! Chevy didn't want to warranty a battery that was over a year old due to it being over 30k miles!! Drove straight to toyota and traded the chevy for the tundra....within a year it had a brake issue but toyota fixed it fast with absolutely no hassle! The lead tech even offered to ride with me to describe the problem ....hopped in...test drove it...boom had it fixed same day lol....so toyota warranty makes the tundra worth way more

The interior in the Denali is simply better, Better quality finishing, better layout, better colorway, only thing missing is a panoramic sunroof, and the 3.0 DURAMAX is amazing. On the flip side the Tundra is a Toyota.
