@@Chrisgetspaid I have my favourite dealer but I will always shop around to see the best deal I can get, then take the best of the deals to my favourite dealer who will 99% off the time beat them, and then I push for two years free servicing Ceramic Coating and whatever else I can wangle out to them.😁

@@Chrisgetspaid I have changed the spec on my car since the original deal I did. The best place to go is on the VW Finance calculator that way you can put your spec in whatever deposit you’re gonna put down and it will then give you your monthly payments that will give you a rough idea and then it will be up to yourself whether you can negotiate any more with the dealer.

Hi Tim, great review. I own a pure white October 2021 Golf 8 GTI dsg. It only has 23 000km. I just upgraded to a easy drive extended maintenance plan. Decided to keep it for at least another 2 years❤

Yes Tim, an excellent choice and review. I did notice that it carries the same name as the Audi “Black Edition.” Copied? When you opened up the rear doors the leg room looked rather tight. The wing mirror casings, indicators in the wing mirrors, the front day time running lights and the rear tail lights look copied almost the same as say Audi Q3, Q5, Q7. Just an observation. Audi also have their black centre wheel caps.

Why do VW offer such a poor colour choice on the Golf R? Why no crazy colours when even Skoda offer these on VRS models? That car in orange or RS3 green would look amazing

Rather have standard R. The black badge looks cheap and corny. I want the blue trim and blue color brake calipers like a proper R. Also the forged wheels look so much better in diamond cut. Blacked out was like so 10 years ago.
