I'm from Illinois, in the US. I don't care what ya post, I'll watch it. Oftentimes, I'm eating. 😆 Anywhoo, my mother taught us to NEVER put grease down the drain. When she cooked, she put used grease in a recycled pasta jar, etc. Then it was either reused or when full, thrown away with the lid on. I showed my kids. I, also, worked fast food. And that was one thing. NEVER grease down the drain. We did have a grease trap though. And we poured BUNN water down the drains. And one a month poured one packet of lime with BUNN water down all the drains. Good job, Bruce on that stubborn drain.

When i do a kitchen drain and find grease, i always show it to the owner. Their reply is i never put grease down my drain. One job had 40 feet of 2 inch pvc so packed full of grease, i had to put multiple cleanouts in the drain line. It was an adventure when i cut the pvc. Out came a glacier size tube of grease. Some jobs are more than others. But i got it open and running. Buffalo,New York sends greetings and salutations to to you, Bruce. Thank you

I use strainer baskets and try to not put greese down the drain and have had a problem yet. Keep as much out of the drain as I can

Hey Bruce, I find the younger generation seem to think that everything is ok to go down the drain. Lucky for you, it will keep you busy! Common sense is a trait that is seriously lacking these days.
