It's here in Australia, drove it on sat . Interior nice , no glovebox, electric mode great . Put your foot down , no way this had 610NM ? Maybe at peak revs? The 2 litre mtr struggled to get speed . Wanted to get my wife into it from an ML -350 tuned to 710 NM. She laughed at me like I had erectile dysfunction 😂 . So for $62 k AUD ,if you haven't been used to a Merc , it's for you . Indicators annoying , performance struggled badly, were tall and you can't get out without hitting your calf's on the running boards . Boot , good for an esky , maybe a pram but that's it . We opted to keep our 2014 ML-350 . Tweed motors , Beau , great salesman , honest and would highly recommend 👌

@@OddAutoAnalysis I do feel people perceptions of Chinese made product are based on the products they buy at the One Dollar Store....common people the product there are cheap for a reason. Just like when the Japanese first started making cars and motorcycles, people in the West were mocking at their products, such example like leading British motorcycle magazine describing Japanese "crappy" motorbikes compared to British "iron".....the Chinese are aware that they are competing in the international markets with discerning customers who are used to more established vehicles brand. They have come a long way with such products made by Huawei, DJI drones and many more are making their mark in the international market place. Guys, the lane assist is apparently adjustable through driver selection modes ? Unsure how, I haven't purchased one, other reviewers also bag the lane assist out but someone in the comments whom has purchased one advises just to go into the driver selection modes to alter it. Also, yes you're right on translation issue, "Pothole" mode is the "Off Road" mode. It changes traction control from on road to off road, activates cross beam axle braking far quicker once wheel slip detected. Yes, it has 2 diff locks, but pothole mode makes this vehicle clamber really well without selecting diff locks. It has turn assist as well as speed variable crawl control, both available in 300 series Toyota at twice the price (haha) as well as speed adjustable hill descent control. This vehicle will blitz the 4WD wagon market, GWM really attacking market share with their product range. Bring on the Tank 500 also.

@chriswording8638 good point re, Wrangler Rubicon capacity. My point still stands, GVM/GCM limitations deserve to be covered in the review, as I'd also expect it to be covered in a Wrangler Rubicon review. You went straight to the Landcruiser/Patrol as competitors to the Tank 300, but I'd argue the Pajero Sport and co are closer rivals, and yeah the Tank offers insane value for money, but not the capacity of the Pajero Sport or Isuzu etc. If you want to travel Australia towing a van, the value proposition doesn't matter if it's illegal to use for the intended purpose.

Not sure why so many people worry about how well the lane assist works or doesn't work. It is one of the most useless and dangerous things fitted to modern day cars. Luckily none of my cars have it. Try using it on small country lanes where you have to cross the centre line sometimes because of tight corners and narrow roads, you will soon find yourself crashed in the edge. People rely to much on tech these days. Concentrate on driving then you will not need all these aids. If I had that in my car it would be turned off all the time! But the Tank does look like a decent car and will appeal to many people. Doubt we will get them here though. I have a new LC Prado, so not in the market for a new car, but if I were, this would certainly be a consideration!
