Amazing video and great job Eric. I purchased stage 2 for the fairing, stage 3 for the saddle bags and the amp. Your video was so easy to follow actually my son did most of the work lol. Now all we need is SUBWOOFER from you guys as soon as possible. Just a suggestion please make it little bit smaller so we can put something in our bags. Not asking for much room but something. Anyway can't wait for the SUBWOOFER. If you got some insight on it please let me know. Thanks.

No answer. I guess no subwoofers?

@@bartii8311 Hi @bartii8311 , sorry I missed answering your original post...I try to go through all the posts on a weekly basis and I must have accidentally missed yours. I definitely appreciate your feedback on the video. The subwoofer will likely have a quick release so will be ultra-convenient to remove it when you need extra luggage room. You'll also likely have the option of running 1 or 2 subwoofers.

The rubber gasket was the hardest part. Impassible to get it to seat in the corners with what little adhesive the backing has
@rockfordfosgate9 ай бұрын
Agree! In the video I slightly stretched the first gasket, which made it hard. The second one I was careful not to stretch at all, and it made seating the adhesive backing easier in the corners.

Any recommendation for any adhesive that can help the adhesive stick better? My corners just fall off and refuse to stick
@rockfordfosgate9 ай бұрын
@@kntmarecobra I had the same problem with the corners lifting. Off camera, I removed the gasket and reattached it being careful to press it firmly into the corners. Everything continued to stick just fine after I did this. You may need to look into a 3M adhesive if it lost stickiness.

You MUST wear eye protection when doing custom installs like this. I installed speakers in a custom kick panel setup for car audio & a piece of plastic went flying into my eye, it was burning hot & jagged, I'm really lucky I didn't lose my eye. Please wear safety equipment when working on or riding your motorcycle.

Thanks for sharing your experience with other fanatics! Our installer Eric tries to set a good example in these videos by always wearing his eye protection 🤓

So Rockford is not coming out with a cut kit for the 24 non cvo? Basically saying have to go to Harley purchase cvo style lids that is paint match to your bike to do this setup.
@rockfordfosgate5 ай бұрын
Currently, there is no aftermarket cut-in kit available.

First, great videos. I watched all of them, changed the amp, fairing speakers, changed lids, and installed the 6*9s. I especially liked the harness under the fuel tank already having been wired for the speakers from the amp. I did notice the bass and only on my right saddle makes the hinge for the lid rattle. Would you have any suggest on how to eliminate this rattle? Was considering removing the lid and reinstalling maybe I didn’t righted something enough. Or maybe the rubber seal was put on wrong and I need to redo that part. If that would be the case do you sell the lid seal?

Great! Thanks for the feedback on our videos! Double check the hardware for the latch down system and the hinge. The larger 6x9" speakers can move some air, but we didn't had any excessive rattles on this bike nor our hero build that got unveiled at the Harley-Davidson Museum last week. -Eric

@@rockfordfosgatethanks for the reply. I’ll disassemble and reassemble it again today. Maybe just needs to be tightened.

How about a smaller internal harness panel for just the speakers? I’m sure I’m not the only one that doesn’t plan on dropping subs in either bag, and the ‘24s have the amp in the fairing - got no choice but to drill TWO huge holes in BOTH bags.

so are the saddlebags on the 2024 the same as 2023?
@rockfordfosgate7 ай бұрын
The 2023 Road Glide and Street Glide bags are the "Rushmore" style. The 2024 RG & SG bags are the new "Skyline" style.

What’s the tool he uses to get the screw in for the handle?
@rockfordfosgate7 ай бұрын
I used a 1/4" ratchet wrench: www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMAN-1-4-in-12-point-Standard-SAE-Ratchet-Wrench/1000594319

Dude, I'm a bit confused, is this an actual problem of the 2024 street glide that Harley needs to fix and why would the tech tell tou to put a solid bolt in there? I don't understand why your doing this and not them??
@rockfordfosgate10 ай бұрын
Are you referring to 7:04 where we're inserting the screw for the release lever? If so, this is a Harley-Davidson screw that's needed if you're replacing the saddlebag lids with the CVO versions that have speaker provisions. This is exactly the same screw used on 2014-2022 saddlebags as suggested by Harley-Davidson.
