Awesome looking bike! I can understand some of the hatred for HD for the corporate policies but it seems just a little over blown to me. I worry that it will hurt the workers more than the executives and that is a problem.

Popular bike here in Australia, but pitty the price is $37,000 starting price , no mods
@MotorcycleDemoRiders2 ай бұрын
Price is crazy high without question. I was thinking about that yesterday talking with my boys. One was interesting in an HD and I discussed the price of the bike versus his current level of income and explained for him it just doesn't make sense right now. I am happy he wants one but don't want any of them to go into debt for a bike. Hell at minimum wage in the US right now or even double the minimum wage it would be a whole years salary to pay for one. I explained to him that my bikes growing up were cheap used bikes until I established myself in the working world. That said most people will look at bikes at these prices and will only be able to dream about owning one.

I'm sure it would be faster if I was 40lbs lighter lol. If I took the rpms up and dumped the clutch it would definitely be faster on the 0 to 60 but its a brand new bike thats not through breakin so Im not pushing it to its maximum by any means. And I'm not the best 0 to 60 rider anyway so I have no doubt a better rider would get an even faster number. Appreciate you for watching and for making the comment.

@ 3:45 that bike does not fit you. But this a bike review. I would like to ride it. Great review...
@MotorcycleDemoRiders4 ай бұрын
I think everyone should be able to try the new models from every manufacturer before making the choice to buy one. The way the Air Filter comes off the bike makes it uncomfortable to ride at times and that would be the only thing I would change. But a rider wouldn't know this without riding it first. One of the reasons I'm turning this channel into a non-profit org. I am going to be working to build locations with the help of other riders and manufacturers that will run demo rides all day for $99 that way riders can have a location to ride bikes, talk about the bikes and experience bikes that they may not even know existed. I have a long road ahead to set this up completely but with the riding communities support I believe long term this will benefit the motorcycle industry as a whole.

I can understand that and couldn't argue. I love the Pan America. While it's not my favorite big ADV bike, it is a close, tight race. Some would feel differently, and I can understand their position also. I am just glad that they have multiple options for people to choose from. Best thing about motorcycles is that if you don't like this model or this company, there is always another option available.

Ok so now that Harley went woke and revived a lot of backlash do you think Harley prices will drop??? Serious question 🏁
@MotorcycleDemoRiders4 ай бұрын
I would like to see that happen, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I do see the used market pricing starting to drop, thankfully, but the new bike market is probably going to stay stagnant, in my opinion, until the interest rates go down. Now, I have no sympathy for the corporate profit margins. I do understand they need to make money and if it costs them more to make it they just raise the prices as far as they can until sales level off at that price. At which point they hold it there and when costs for materials, labor and borrowing cost get cheaper we will feel like we can afford more and start buying again and they will get even more profits. Just my feelings on it.

Too bad the Harley legacy has been tarnished by wokeism.
@MotorcycleDemoRiders4 ай бұрын
Honestly this isn't the first time a corporation has stepped across a line that was unpopular with its core consumers and won't be the last. I understand the need for HD and other manufacturers to expand the customer base, but you can't do a drastic shift all at once because that just pushes people away. High prices and high interest rates aren't helping the situation right now either. I love motorcycles and I just want to see more people riding(no matter the brand) and HD will need to walk back a bit and hopefully reestablish the relationships that were affected. Some will not be able to be recovered quickly but I don't want to lose HD from the industry as it will only hurt the overall motorcycle industry and community. Just how I feel.

I was going to purchase one of these until Harley's wokeism was exposed. I will not consider purchasing one unless the current CEO and board of directors are fired and the company takes a 180 degree turn away from their woke stance.
@MotorcycleDemoRiders4 ай бұрын
It will be interesting to see how things continue to develop with Harley. While I am not a huge fan of the directions they decided to go, I am more concerned about the everyday workers if they take a hit on sales it will be the workers that suffer not the CEO or the board sadly. I just lost my job after 16 years today because of a large corporation moving jobs away, and while I will find another job, i hate to see the regular working people lose while the others don't. Anyway, I hope they straighten things out and focus on building motorcycles. Thank you for sharing your feelings.

32k with all the bs they charge for
@MotorcycleDemoRiders4 ай бұрын
For some dealers you are absolutely correct on what the out the door price would be. Sadly its not just Harley Dealers that are placing alot of additional charges on bikes. I had a subscriber(22 Year Old) tell me once at a Demo Event(Really interesting feeling to get noticed if I'm honest) that he paid out the door for a Honda Rebel 500 ABS(M.S.R.P $6,699) 12k not including the interest on the loan. I was in shock. The higher interest rates aren't helping either but its not something that everyone sees. Even if you were out the door for this at 25k you are still paying 7% interest if you are lucky so the bottom line costs are difficult to wrestle with right now. I really wanted to buy the new Road Glide with the Stage II Kit and Starved Rock HD was giving me a great price but after doing the math I just couldn't square the price with the interest right now.

@MotorcycleDemoRiders4 ай бұрын
Can't really argue with that. The cheapest harley is one that no one really wants from what I can tell and its 13k. That's a high cost of entry for new riders in the space. Sure it does cost money to build and develop the bikes but I don't think its helpful long term for the company or the motorcycle industry as a whole. Harley isn't the only company charging more for bikes but they are so big it just shines a bright light on them. I feel for the workers more than anything else
@journeyofjerry8204 ай бұрын
The price of a Harley is higher than most bikes. Harley Davidson is the only brand considered a heirloom Bike. A passed down Harley will always be better than a passed down other brand of bike. If you get the point of view that I'm failing in making. Would I ever pay 24k for a breakout? Not even on my deathbed if it ment I could live longer. 24k I would rather have a Pan America.
