Like you said, get full wind protection or no wind protection. You riding in seemingly comfortable weather year-round makes me want to live in Florida. Where I live, we are at that weather where you gotta wear enough clothes that you’re hot sitting still just so you hopefully won’t be cold on the ride.

How does it compare to the Sport Glide, aside from the removable fairing?
@feloniousmonk3049 Жыл бұрын
Doesn't corner nearly as quick or well in the canyons as the Sport Glide. Front fork rake is quite long, and the big width of the rear tire in conjunction with how narrow the front tire is messes with the tracking in corners. You can light tour on a Sport Glide, this is just for short rides.

SOFTWARE is awesome. Hopefully the new software in 2023 Diavel V4 will spill Over to all the manufacturers. They have different fuel mapping for each individual gear. Not a group of gear matching not just 1St and 6th but each individual gear to take advantage what each gear offers. Some gears redline is different to make every gear tractable. I am sure Harley is looking into this next step

For me, how good it is doesn't matter as it's IMPOSSIBLE to get a new HD for anything close to MSRP out the door now. It's not the entire motorcycle market that's like that either. Harley dealership fees have gotten out of control the last few years. I bought my brand new 2021 Moto Guzzi V7 Centenario, which retails for $9199 for $9500 out the door at a small dealership in Massachusetts in early 2021. Harley was, and still is, charging crazy fees, adding unwanted accessories and crazy dealer markups on ALL models. It's frustrating.

No. As with anything, start small. Find a used 400 cc and get used to the whole muscle memory of riding. Then go through a safety course. You'll save 20 grand and still have a blast. After you're a good rider, get something bigger.

@stevem4783 Жыл бұрын
A low raked out bike on a 240 rear isn't a good choice for someone trying to learn basic handling dynamics. It takes a bit of skill to throw something like these Breakouts around corners, not to mention they're pretty heavy, have a ton of torque, and a really aggressive riding position. There's tons of proper beginner bikes out there - this ain't it. Get something used with a neutral riding position (legs down, back straight and not hunched over, arms not spread wide,) mid-controls, moderate to low weight, and low power. Iron 883 and Rebel 300/500 aren't bad choices and can be had reasonably cheap.
