incase of a tip over, Does the bike lay over further with those than the stock ones? just wondering if more damage will take place if it falls over?
@OffWeekGarage7 ай бұрын
Since they are a little wider than the hoops, they should not allow the bike to tip any further! They work even better in conjunction with the rear bag guard kits which I will probably break down and get. Then you can lay it over with no worries.

Just purchased a new 24 Cvo roadglide and thinking about putting these front Flat-out crash bars… just wanna make sure that they will be good to use as a footrest in lieu of getting highway foot boards if I was to keep original crash bars? Your opinion? I live the look of the flat bars. Thanks.

I just ordered the Flat-Out Bars and matching Bag Tip-Over Bars for my 2024 Glide. What exhaust do you have on your Glide? It looks like a full exhaust. TIA
@OffWeekGarage5 ай бұрын
@@DucDNA yes full exhaust! It is SP Concepts! I have a full video of the install and detailed sound on and off the bike!
@DucDNA5 ай бұрын
@@OffWeekGarage Thanks! I just watched your video on the SP Concepts Exhaust and posted a comment regarding the lack of a heat shield. I came from 20+ years of riding sportbikes before switching to a bagger Harley so performance and weight savings is important to me. My last 3 sportbikes all had carbon fiber wheels. I'm looking into BST CF wheels for my 2024 Glide and trying to save weight with the exhaust too. I'm also considering the Thrashin foot boards because I wish my stock boards came back a little bit more. Your videos are very helpful!
@OffWeekGarage5 ай бұрын
@@DucDNA I come from sport bike background as well and am going for weight savings along the way. Cf front and rear fenders will shave off another 10lbs. Cf wheels and a few other tidbits bits and you can get it down to mid to high 700 lbs
@OffWeekGarage5 ай бұрын
I LOVE my thrashin floor boards. They are a huge upgrade over stock, although painfully expensive for something “you don’t need”. But once you forget about the concept of need or not it gets real fun 😜
@DucDNA4 ай бұрын
@@OffWeekGarage I've been doing a lot of research to get some actual numbers on weight savings, and it wasn't easy! Here's what I've gathered BST CF Wheels Front 10.988 lbs Rear. 12.467 lbs Stock (from a 2018 Road Glide Limited, but close enough) Front 17.5 Rear 17.5 Stock Front Fender 5 lbs Stock Battery 23 lbs Stock Floorboards 8 lbs Stock Exhaust 30 lbs CF Front Fender 3 lbs Lithium HD Battery 5 lbs Thrashing Apex Floorboards ~4 lbs SP Concepts Big Bore 12 lbs The HD Forged wheels for the Glide are half the price of the BST wheels, so I might go with them. I talked to a Harley rep who said Harley claims 5-10 lbs weight savings with their wheels, so I think that's the route I will go because three grand for 2 lbs isn't worth it to me.

I ordered these and matching saddlebag guards for my 24 FLTRX, beginning of Apr, then waa told about a week later not available til May, well it's May and now I'm told July, so requested a refund and canceled my order. Dealership was bummed and a bit miffed with corporate because this has happened on so many parts, customers tired of waiting and getting run around on back orders, say that corporate is cause loss profits for Dealership.. I believe they are correct..

I just bought a 2023 STREET Glide CVO and I love the look of these Bars. Im not sure if they will work on a street glide, I would think so but you know Harley. I looked on the harley website and on Revzilla and cant find them for the street glide ....anyone have some ideas for me to get these? I also like the look when they are guarding the bags as well. NO, Im not a big fan of the Santoro bars with the hack your brackets up.

I have a Soft Brake extension for my rear brake. Any chance that interferes with the Flat Out Bar? As it stands now, the 2" extension is pretty close to the stock engine guard and I'm hoping the flat out bar doesn't have the same issue.
@amberbali88813 ай бұрын
My +2 SoftBrake arm hit the lower, curved part of the Flat Out Bar. Did you ever try one?
@DavidMalloy3 ай бұрын
I did and while the brake pedal doesn't hit the engine guard, my boot does. I ended up going with a 1" extension for the brake pedal.
@amberbali88813 ай бұрын
@@DavidMalloy Can you clarify? Does your boot (or boot toe) hit the curved portion of the flat out bar that attaches to the lower frame or the straight portion of the bar that sits above the brake pedal and has the bolt on skate board wheel looking piece? I'm looking to know if the +2 arm makes contact with the curved portion of the Flat Out Bar. I don't think the +1 lever will get my feet forward enough. Thanks.
@DavidMalloy3 ай бұрын
@amberbali8881 happy to. The very tip of my size 13 boot hits the straight bar of the flat out bar when the pad of my toes are pressing against the brake pedal (for maximum leverage). If I slide my boot back, I can I can avoid my toes hitting the bar. But in an emergency situation I can't always rely on that.
