What I love about Hondas is their rear seat room which is VERY important to me as a part time Uber driver. CRV > RAV4, Accord > Camry, Civic > Corolla.
@scottw9771 Жыл бұрын
I would go with the Forester for its superior AWD system and much better value. The Subaru will give you more features for much less and that's before the Honda dealerships gouge you with $3k or more for "add-ons" to the MSRP. I would love to see you do a side by side with the CRV, Forester, and RAV 4. I'm leaving the CX5 off the list as I think it's closer in size to a sub-compact competing with the HRV and Corolla Cross.
@Realistick Жыл бұрын
The Forester is the value king for now! Actually just filmed that exact comparison, The CX-5 is also in it, small backseat but still a key competitor in the compacts. Should have it out next Thursday or Saturday!

I liked the CRV but went with the limited forester which was a better value

Outstanding review! My sister has a 2014 CR-V and while I have been highly praising my '21 Outback to her, I will be sure to have her watch this video in case she wants to stay with Honda. (LOVED the Christopher Nolan reference! LOL)

This vehicle in Canada is over $50k, it makes no sense. It is a good vehicle though.

In the sport touring, yes, though just like in the US, it’s just a grand over what a RAV4 costs so I don’t see that changing anything! (As unfortunate as it is)

Honda chosing not to cash in with a Trailsport version is absolutely baffling. My area of the country is overrun with Subarus mostly because they CAN drive on rutted forest roads.
@Realistick Жыл бұрын
They'd need to start by giving it the i-vtm awd system! They may make a trailsport version in the future but I fear that it will be halfassed and this would need a lot to transform it.

Hard to imagine what the CR-V used to be sized at. Great offering from Honda no surprises but of course ... no surprises as well. Verdict: not guilty

You can' deplete the battery. It has no CVT or transmission. The hybrid setup is brilliant. Subaru? Had them, good overall cars safe but interior materials are cheap and wear out fast and the motors sound like tractors and are outdated plus the CVT's are noisy
@Realistick Жыл бұрын
You can't actually deplete it but you can drain it to the point where the drive motor doesn't provide much of any assist as the engine has to charge the battery. It uses a variant of E-CVT (not mechanically similar to a cvt, but it is still continuously variable) that comes with lock up clutches for cruising and specific scenarios, making it different from Toyota's e-cvt.

And, no foglights! What’s up with that?
@Realistick Жыл бұрын
A lot of brands decided the LED headlights were good enough but it's something I appreciate Subaru and Toyota for sticking with.
@v.maharaj3365 Жыл бұрын
I think for an SUV, foglights complement the front end styling. Functionality, meh. For me, it’s more style than functionality. Yes, and thank to Subaru and Toyota. I actually bought a 2024 Crosstrek 4 weeks ago.

Once you have ventilated seats in the deep south, you can't go back. Really looking forward to the CX-70 and if it is too expensive, I'll take the smaller CX-5 for the same price as the CRV with more premium/refined features. The turbo 4 is great (one in my garage CX-9 with 70k on it without problems) I am an empty nester with a Honda Ridgeline and have owned 4 Hondas in my life. Have you ever seen anyone under 55 driving a Ridgeline? I have come to the conclusion its an "old man" truck. It fits me well. HA! @@Realistick
