Yes... But I would probably be sure to use some leave out around the nape and edges to make it look natural. I typically use leave out when I do my crochet anyways.

I wear my crochet in ponytails very often. I do a normal ponytail, braid my hair into a tiny bun and crochet through the bun. It’s very low maintenance for me.
