Did you add the auto clutch? I just put one on mine but honestly I didn't really need to. Never ever stalled it. I just added it because I found one on a closeout deal and I'm 60 years old so my tendonitis and old arms are having trouble hanging on the way I used to. If you haven't added the auto clutch I would think about it pretty hard. If you're on a budget I think that money could go towards a lot of other things first.

Does the Husqvarna FX 350 produce less arm pump than the KX450? Or is the energy loss that the 350 generates very similar? How does the 350 handle on the MX track? And how does the 350's suspension feel on the MX track? I watch your videos. Best regards from Guadalajara, Mexico. 🔥🔥🔥

THANK YOU!!!!!! FINALLY SOMEBODY WHO GETS THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE A 2 STROKE TO RIDE TRAILS!!! Until there is no longer a trail and either cliffs giant boulders or endless logs a 4 stroke beats a two stroke every day.

I could not agree with you more! I actually rode some pretty gnarly single track last Friday while switching back and forth between my 350 and a yz250x. I still preferred my 350. It just hooks up so well. The only benefit I see to a 2 stroke is the weight when hopping logs and rocks. otherwise, 4-stroke all day!

With the CUO can you tune the motor down some to make it better in the tighter single track?

How does it compare to a yz250fx
@trailrideutah3 ай бұрын
I love the 250fx. My buddy @utmx had one and It was a great bike! My only complaint was the lack of power in the more wide open stuff. I feel like the 350 hits the power just right while still handling like the 250fx. I also like the new suspension on the 350 a little better. It is close though. Both amazing bikes!

350's are such a great combination of Power/Weight/Handling! Try dialing back engine braking to minimum on the CUO and see if you like the chassis even more. Very curious to see how the updated more compliant frame feels on the 2025 FX350 - definitely helps the chassis feel on my 24.5 KTM 450 Factory Edition.

I agree 100%. I think the power to weight ratio is perfect and I love that the suspension is a little softer. I weigh 160 so it is perfect for me! I have been wanting to try that, I will test and let you know! What model KTM do you have? I rode a 24 XC-F and loved it!

@@jimnelson585 Yes very easy to dial back the power on an Austrian 350 or 450. Here is a short video using the CUO on my 25 350XCF kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZiQpqqEbauEo5o

@@jimnelson585 Yes you can pick the Gravel/Wet map and turn down throttle response to minimum (#1) and turn up Traction Control to maximum (#5) and that really dials the 350 back to a 250F feel...kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZiQpqqEbauEo5o

Nice video and nice bike. I'll second all the things you said about this bike. I have 3 hours on mine now and I always have a permanent smile while riding. I came from an older crf450r that I somewhat adapted for trail. This bike is worlds better than that bike was. What is the black thing on your front fender?
@trailrideutah3 ай бұрын
Absolutely! Sooo much better. I had a 2020 CRF450 and this kills it... haha So that is the new Husky Control Unit. You can use and app to change maps and engine characteristics, as well as track lap times, maintenance and things like that. I am testing it out still but it is pretty cool!

Where was this video 2 months ago?????? 😂Curious how bottom end feels compared to a 2t 300? I've only ever had 4t, been on an uncorked and tuned FE501 the last 6 years, but I'm really gravitating to the tough stuff, the harder the better. So I bought a 24 TE 300. I love the way the bike handles and rides, it's amazing. I am lackluster on the power delivery. The bottom is much softer than I am used to, I have a hard time picking the front tire up for obstacles like I want. The top end also isn't very exciting. It definitely tractors, is considerably lighter than my 501, and it doesn't wear me out nearly as much. However, I just miss that 4t grunt, especially on the low end.
@trailrideutah3 ай бұрын
See last year I had a 300 xc tbi and I was the same. I missed that low end on the 4t and I also missed how well the 4t tracks in higher speed stuff. I will be posting a video soon comparing the 24 350 and the 24 tx 300 soon. My buddy @utmx just picked one up so I’ll let you know when it think.

Your spot on about the 350. The most versatile bike for just about anything other than hard Enduro. We're not doing hard Enduro around here and I'm not riding that super tight 30 in wide trail either. The 3 50 is the Jack of all trades. I have a 250f and a 350 and I literally have not ridden my 250f but twice in the last year. Probably getting ready to just go ahead and sell it and maybe pick up a small bore two-stroke for kicks...

What do you mean by flame out and how would you fix it? Thanks!
@trailrideutah2 ай бұрын
Sorry I just saw this comment! What I mean is when you’re feathering your clutch and the bike stalls even with the clutch in. 2 strokes tend to not do this. I have heard changing the fly wheel helps with this but I haven’t tried it yet.

@@trailrideutahI've got a 22 gas gas ex350 that I bought new in December of 22. After about 10 hours the flame outs pretty much disappeared. I'm riding in eastern woods so I did change my gearing which absolutely eliminated all flame outs. I know you're out west so completely different terrain but I'm glad to hear your flame outs disappeared. 350s Rock!

How do you compare the yz450fx and the fx350?
@trailrideutah3 ай бұрын
ooof good question! So I feel like they are both great! The yz was harder to set up for me off the showroom floor where the husky felt great right away but once I got the YZ set up it was awesome. I think the husky handles better and is a bit easier to put it where I want where the YZ I would struggle sometimes and that is probably a weight and size thing but the YZ power was so nice. I also felt like the YZ could tractor up hills better. The husky seems to flame out easier and has more wheel spin which may be a tire thing but just an observation. I also gotta say the build quality of the YZ is way better. KTM is just cheap. All the KTMS I have had seem to fall apart quicker where the Japanese bikes are tanks. In review though, the husky is much easier to ride and more comfortable. especially stock.

It really is so hard. I had an XC300 and it was so so good for most things, but I just cant get over that 2 stroke floaty feel. I really really like the power delivery and how planted 4 strokes are. That is is the main reason I switched to the 350.
@Dashriprock428 күн бұрын
If you can have both then a 50 350 and a 300 is the perfect garage. Even if you can pick you up an older 300 for a really tight technical stuff. But if I only had to choose one bike. Just one. The 350 wins
