UPDATE: I just returned from Revelstoke BC and I can confirm this bike is an absolute woods weapon, I tackled one of the most challenging double black diamonds that served up a lot of rock features, step ups and challenges tight steep hill climbs and the FX350 really shined. I also tried the 2022 TE300 and it confirmed to me that I picked the best bike for me. Its a lot easier to ride, most stable and the power is much easier to handle especially in challenging spots where your worried you may loop out and with the FX350 I wasn't overly worried, the 2022 TE300 build the power much faster. If I was on a MX track I definitely would pick the TE or TX. I also had an opportunity to spin some laps on a very challenging motocross track in Revelstoke and it did amazing. John I am thinking of switiching fro my 300 xcw tpi to a fx350 or 350xcf. I ride mostly single track flow and single track technical. Curious what other mods beside the 13T youhave done? I've heard a lot of issues in regards to flamingout? but I've also have heard 21 models have those issues fixed?
@johnbirkmeier63923 жыл бұрын
@@germancontreras4448 the so called flame out issues were solved model year 19 so it isnt a concern anymore. These bikes are geared tall to go fast so they will naturally require more clutch work in the tight and technical stuff. Dropping to a 13t front sprocket after a year of riding made the bike a lot more torquey and more manageable when crawling along at slow speeds. If I stall now, its user error and that happens maybe once every ride. I havent done any other mods besides a spark arrestor, and these bikes are ready to go out of the box. @WADZUP2 жыл бұрын
@@johnquinn6764 great intel. I’ve ridden on the FX 350 on an MX track it does really well but I have no intention of riding very often on an MX track but if I did I would prefer the explosive power of the TX 300 Also, given that you have so much riding experience you’ll probably enjoy the power delivery of the two-stroke versus the fourth stroke unless you’re going to do a majority of very technical single track and want a bike that builds power more gradually and has less of a hit. I’ve actually ridden both bikes on the same day, And that day was dedicated to single track, tight and steep with rock step ups and I was a little bit nervous on the TX 300 I will say. The FX 350 is much easier to ride mostly because of how it generates, produces and builds power slower. Both bikes feel nimble, Also one thing a lot of people don’t talk about is how planted and stable the FX 350 feels both at speed and during hill climbs. I’m not sure if that’s just due to how it generates power more of a linear fashion or also because of the Suspension but I felt the TX300 Was a little more nervous but at the same time slightly lighter feeling but definitely not by a huge margin and I’ll take stability and confidence and More linear power delivery for the type of riding I do every day of the week but again if I was in your shoes and I was ripping like a bat out of Hell on an MX track and occasionally doing trails and had 18 years of MX riding experience then the TX 300 would be pure joy.

Awesome video! I’m currently on a 300 xcw tpi and I’m thinking of potentially trying a 350 xcf or FX350 for next year. I ride a mix of flow and technical singletrack. I’ve heard a few issues with flamingout with these bikes, and to probably add a 13T front sprocket, flywheel weight, and fan. I ride in the Rocky Mountains in BC and AB Canada! I'm curious what your thoughts are on all of this! What kind of setup do you have etc. Thank you
@WADZUP3 жыл бұрын
Hello GC, nice bike? What year do you currently have? In terms of the type of riding you do, what % is single track vs flow? Many of the issues in the FX350 are less present in the newer models. Like you mentioned you'll hear a lot of FX350 owners from previous years comment that they have upgrades the gearing, added a fly weight to lessen the flame outs or in many cases just a stall. The newer 2019-2022 has improved on this but I will say that when you talk about lugging and chugging at very very low RPM on steep single track you'll need to be more vigilant as compared to the HUSKY TE300 which is suited more specifically for low RPM lugs & chugs up steep Single Track. The flywheel is much larger on the 2 strokes and this is because it's intended for this type of riding. Don't get me wrong, if your not lazy or sloppy like me on the clutch or don't get tired fast and your clutch management/understanding is on point then riding the 2021/22 FX350 on steep and tight single is no problem and a lot of fun. The reason I selected the FX350 is because I prefer how the 4 stroke builds power linearly without the big hit of the 2 stroke and because of how planted it feels and it light weight. On the flow this bike is a dream where as the TE300 is a little less planted. Some with say the TE300 is more lively, other describe it as planted, grounded vs nimble and lively. Potatoes, Tomatoes. With bikes models, sometimes you solve one problem but you create another. Point incase 2 stroke vs 4 stroke debate. Also, keep in mind its a bit of a mind set adjustment when riding the 2021/22 FX350. Getting on the throttle a little sooner and maintaining RPM's is going to be your friends and helps the cause so I would say without any mods it can be managed with this. Compared to the 2 stoke riding style there is a lot of throttle blipping where as the FX350 is managed differently. Personally much of my riding is very low RPM, technical, lumpy, rooty, sandy and wet steep BC riding so I decided to go all in and ADD the REKLUSE Radius CX and move on. Is it a must to get rid of the stalls, NO. Can you ride single track without it and be happy with a gear change and clutch management, absolutely. Like most things in life, its all relative and personal choices. I didn't want to mess about with trying a mod and chancing it not working so I just decided to take the big $$ hit and go all in and move on to having the biggest run on fun possible. Hope that helps and thanks for watching the video!

Another ride and some really tight nasty Eastern woods was frustrating because of the stalling.
