Hyundai COO rightly pointed that.. it's just an another variant of Creta... It's a choice for Creta buyers who needed an occasional 7 seater for a competitive price to creta... For better third row space... Hyundai s Stargazer is on d way... Wait brothers..

I don't know about the exterior or the supposedly "Butch" look, but one thing we gotta hand it down to Hyundai and that is the interior. It's arguably The Best in the segment. Overall feel and it's very pleasant to look at. Once you are in the car, you feel that satisfaction. I absolutely love it.

No pano sunroof is not a miss, our extremely hot climate is not suitable for pano sunroof. Pano sunroof with heavy tint and heat resistant may work but normal pano sunroof gets cabin too hot. AC has to do double the job, which dents on mileage. Yeah if you live in hill station or hilly areas fine, but what % of india is that. Not to mention many accident where middle/back passenger getting thrown out of pano sunroof when vehicle tips over(cause back passengers has such bad habit in india to never wear seat belts).

Its done to show how usable the space it. Good people movers are the most flexible vehicles you can buy and knowing it can take fully grown adults is a plus. However whats happening is that many carmakers ever on the hunt for profits just plop some seats in the trunk of cars whose demensions and sloping rear have no buisiness taking humans just so they can sell you a fraud MPV like this car for a higher price point than the 5 seater its based on. If you need that third row get a MPV from the ground up like a Ertiga or XL6, not a stretched crossover.

I'm from the hills it's not that hot here, and opening the roof always makes it airy and that's good for windy roads here that can give you car sick. Creta has it, but its 190mm gc is not good enough here. So, I guess it's a bit of a shame that diesel alcazar doesn't have it

No regrets getting the Carens; you need to be a "contortion artist" to get into the 3 rd row, No thanks, why didn't Hyundai think this over: a good tumble function and a few centimeters here and there would have done the trick. What a "HUGE" mistake, Hyundai, it will not sell on this count only.

This car is one of the worst people movers out there. That third row is so bad they should have just scrapped it and just left it with the captains chairs. Hyundai has a much better mpv in the form of the Stargazer which while it doesnt have the turbo its more than just a stretched Creta. Finally on a side note, this car in export markets is called the Grand Creta or Creta Grand(silly name i know) but its poorly packaged with that thirsty dog of a 2l NA engine Hyundai has kicking around ( its found in the base trims of its more expensive cars like the Tuscon) but Hyundai cares so little about this car outside of India that the brochures that customers get are for the Alcazar and even on thier websites the info you get on the page still says Alcazar.

Every Hyundai is one Hyundai too much Features everywhere with a shitty platform, the worst engines and everything of lowest quality under the hood. Hyundai has scammed the industry into this non feasible direction. We had quality products from Honda and Toyota at reasonable prices before this mess. Even luxury cars were more reasonable, provided some additional features but drove great Now everyone has to focus on superficial bs because Hyundai ruined the great car culture we used to have, globally.

That could be your opinion. People are not stupid and know what they buying. Hyundai buyers buy hyundai cars for it above competetion fit/finish, interior quality and peaceful long term ownership irrespective of segment. Their engines are also proved to be very reliable as there are many happy owners who have driven lacs of km without much fuss. Hyundai also revolutionized indian auto industry by forcing toyota, honda, suzuki to give us Indian fresh products rather then giving us outdated models.
