5:20 at least in Canada, the charge port is heated. So i have never had to brush off snow to plug in after driving in a snow storm. Seems to work for me ok.

I’ve had my 24 Limited since March, it’s my first electric, and I love it! It actually does have limited approach sensing with the key fob, it will illuminate the driver door handle as you approach so you can just grab it to unlock and open. You also forgot to mention the incredible surround camera parking view, that was one of my big reasons to go Limited. I originally wanted an Ionic 5, but found I could get all the tech I wanted with the Kona Limited at a more reasonable price.
@mkgearhead51512 ай бұрын
I have the same experience as you. I couldn't justify the price jump to the Ioniq. With the dealer regularly throwing a $7500 discount on them and the $5300 tax credit here in Colorado, I drove my Limited off the lot for right around $28,000.

@@mkgearhead5151I’m in Colorado too and looking for a limited! Which dealership did you find with the $7,500 discount on the Kona? I’ve only seen it for the Ioniq 5.

@@J_henn22 I got mine at Arapahoe Hyundai. Their website says they have 3 on the lot. It also says they have the $7500 discount with a lease. My wife and I both purchased ours Konas and we got the discount.

This video confirms my decision to go with the Ioniq5 SEL. The Kona EV is a little cheaper if you can find one but there are a lot of little things that set the two cars apart. Also hearing about the mediocre acceleration on this Kona makes me very pleased with with the Ioniq can offer even in just the RWD model I got. It's not fast but it's fun.

An N version of this would be very cool. A small EV, with lots of power and buttons. It would have that market to itself.

Does the new MY25 Ioniq have the same issue with a low hanging battery?
@donotcare442 ай бұрын
I have a 2023 Kona and one issue is that the visors on the front windshield are way too think to be able to put my garage door opener. It's an inconvenience. There's no place to put it so I have to keep in the cup holder. Please tell us about the ioniq 2 that's supposed to be $25k or less.

6" ground clearance similar to the Polestar 2. Same car I have well colour which is the EV only colour where I live but mine came with 19" tires. In Australia Hyundai provide a space saver tire in the EV one of few EV's that have a spare. Agree with the word Electric on the back and needs to go. The mirrors at least in AU trim they can be closed from a button on the drivers side no manual touching needed.

I've had my kona 24 limited ev since Feb. I've got 21k miles. I'm average 3.9miles/kwh. Mostly highway driving 65-70. The lack of memory seats is a killer for me. Limited trims should have all the bells as whistles. My 23 elantra limited had memory seats. They could even integrate it into the driver profiles since the car lacks memory buttons. The lack of a HUD on American models sucks. The cad model gets HUD but no power liftgate. They don't get V2L either. Why so many differences between top models cross countrys?? Overall I accept it. Paid 34k.

@@scynt My 2024 Limited(USA) has V2L. Not the 110V outlet, however with a V2L adapter you can draw power from charging port. Tested running a COSORI air fryer oven which consumed 1,16KWH.

As a 2024 Kona EV owner, I get what you are saying, but I find it okay when in my Garage, since it's closer to my drivers side, so when I get out at night to plug my car in it's a bit more convenient since I park on the right of the garage, and my charger is in the middle. . Honestly the LED light bar being broken up on SEL and SE trim, and only lighting up fully on the Limited on trim when the headlights are on, is more annoying to me.
