Good video. I bought 2nd hand 21 plate premium in aug 24 got 323 miles range in summer, now in oct down to 292 miles. Done 4 x 265 miles round trips on motorway driving 60/65mph and got home with at least 30 miles or 10pct of battery left. Very comfortable to drive. Nice to see you driving the backroads of the Nth Lincs/Lincs border, spent many childhood years in that area.

We have owned the new kona N line s EV since march 2024. We went N line s (same price as the ultimate).as it gets lots of red stitching and bits to uplift the interior including leather and alcantara seats. I have the steering wheel favourite button set to go to driver aids, so in 10 seconds I can turn speed warning and forward alert turned off, a long press of the lane assist button on the steering wheel ,turns it orange and off. Over 1700 miles we have averaged 4.5miles per kilowatt. Car always starts in normal mode (a turn of the mode button to the left puts it in eco mode. We use the frunk for cables . If you floor it you can feel the front wheels having to deal with torque steer up to about 30mph.(this model has less torque than the last generation to help this. HUD is very good (which is a good thing because at my height (6ft 5") the steering wheel blocks the speedo up to 40mph. For options there is (on the n line s) the sunroof, a black roof and comfort seats (2 memory settings and a " comfort " position for charging (it tilts and a little leg support pops up, the ability to move the back and forwards while outside the car using the key. We were offered the 17" alloys, but felt the N line s needs 19" Hurts range a little but we have seen 334 miles claimed range on a full charge last week. The max regen brings the car to a complete stop and is truely 1 pedal bar emergency braking.

I also have the N Line S EV since March 2024. Unfortunately, I hit a small deer in June. Since then, the car has been off the road awaiting a new front bumper from Hyundai. Apparently it takes several months for Hyundai to get the parts in.

Is the regen easy to use?
@brianiswrong4 ай бұрын
@@DinoSpumoni213 regen is controlled by the + and - paddles behind the steering wheel. I always have it in " i pedal" which is max regen and genuine 1 pedal driving.

My kona does not revert to normal if in eco, but it does in snow and sport modes. If you use only ipedal, which I love, the rotors will rust

@@Electric-Vehicle-UK Hi there Fully charged (we have 19" wheels) it shows between 319 and 280 miles dependant on air temp, heated seats has no affect on range , heater on above 21 or over half fan takes 8 miles off. Car defaults to level 3 regen, Head up display shows current speed, speed limit, speed cameras in distance if any. Also shows turn by turn direction if nav is being used and distance to car infront if adaptive cruise is on. Seats get proper hot (both front and both outer rear). Only thing I have turned off is the auto opening boot lid if you stand at back of car (bit eager to open)

Got my Kona ultimate in Sept with 17 inch wheels. So far loving it! Charged about 4 times and last two gave range of 355 miles when fully charged - much more than stated! Drive in Eco mode which is absolutely fine for London and use regen 1 pedal driving which is so easy.
@MidasHand-bm1el4 ай бұрын
Excellent review, one point only,you get the 300+ miles only with the 17 inch wheels (that is why they are offered for free as an option) otherwise you get 280 miles as per Hyundai. So getting 260 out of the advertised 280 is not bad at all.

Agree about the grey interior but if you opt for the light grey leather seats then all the lower dash and door cards are then lighter as well. It completely changes the ambience for the better and makes the car feel so much more upmarket.

There is also the sage green interior with lime green accents and darker areas plus a small squares design in dashboard and door upper part

A lovely down to earth review. You have a very good style and cover items that are sometimes overlooked by others. I can’t be sure if I have seen earlier reviews but I am happy to subscribe and look forward to others after seeing this one. You have almost sold me on a Kona. Could you cover what items you can and can't turn off that make all the noises these days.

I do like the Kona - I have an Ioniq HEV but it's rather low - and results in bashed heads for some passengers getting in. The Ioniq isn't quite as 'hard plasticky' but the greyness you refer to is symptomatic, I agree. That rubbery material is on the dash in my Ioniq, but it's worn well and the car. has been very reliable. Great review.

Having tested both the new Kona EV and the Ioniq 5 after each other, I was surprised to find the Kona was much smoother and more comfortable. As the owner of the second-gen, facelift, previous Kona EV Ultimate, I was disappointed that the new Ultimate doesn't have as much kit as the old one and you need to spec up. The bings and bongs were a nightmare! I am now waiting for a new Scenic eTech to be received. Can't wait!
