Thanks for reviewing this Kona. Heavier, less instant, thirstier, sloppier, but a fair amount more rear legroom and cargo room. So it tries to be like a large heavy car but shouldn't have had to. They could have kept it nice and firm and more instant. The previous Kona is way too cramped. Another thing that's difficult to get over, is how the car looks like it's been in a car crash. It seems to me that more preferable would be a score a used Niro, which size size, is like this Kona, but less sluggish and less sloppy. Anti EV hype brought the used EV prices down, so yeah. And those tanked prices makes buying new rather unattractive! Way too much depreciation too quickly !

Mhmm, I still recommend to people to go hybrid or phev. It's the best of both worlds.

@@MGReviewsBlog I don't like the idea of hauling around two power-trains, and how PHEVs will still use gas. I much prefer the more direct and simple approach of a full EV.

@@MGReviewsBlog PHEV's in Canada are really hard to come by currently. Wait times for a Kia Niro PHEV, Sportage/Tucson PHEV, Prius Prime, Rave 4 Prime etc seem to still be over 1 year, or 2 years to "We don't know when they will come". HEV are more available, but still 6 months to 1 year... or more for Corolla Cross Hybrid. With the Fed/Provincial rebates, PHEV units are often less expensive to take home than HEV counterparts. Rebates are being phased out though. In 3 years, Canadians will be paying full price on these. Wait times for the EV equivalents seem to be much less, weeks to a few months. People can only buy and drive home what is actually available.
