Comparing these two models without talking about the driving dynamics is “not fair” as it is the strength of the Mazda CX-90 compared to its competitors. For those who care about it, the Mazda is a clear winner.

I would agree that the Mazda's powertrain is superior for the additional power but the mild hybrid system was not very smooth. I would like to drive the standard turbo model without the 48v Mild Hybrid system to see if it would be my choice in the lineup.

I was in the market and had huge hopes for the CX90. My trade in was a Mazda 6 signature. However the space inside, especially the third row broke the deal for me. Also the huge bumpy differential tunnel in the second row. Mazda felt so cramped inside, which is weird because from the outside the suv looks big. Ended up with a 24 Palisade with beige interior. Amazing suv for the money, in fact I can’t believe it doesn’t cost around $70,000. Offers amazing tech and very luxurious. Very quiet, no wind or road noise. Engine is also very quiet and smooth even in the current -8 deg f weather in midwest.

Great review! We're Palisade owners and love ours. However I was looking forward to Mazda's turbo inline 6 engine wrapped in a family 3-row SUV. While I think Mazda's styling, both inside and out, are superior it starts to lose its luster on the lack of second and third row space, and automatic folding features. Also, the hidden exhaust pipes are a huge miss. For an ICE vehicle exhaust pipes are an important feature...to me. I find it tacky when auto makers add cheesy, rounded-chrome-rectangle plastic to the rear bumper resembling exhaust pipe tips. It looks cheap and they're not fooling anybody. VW is a big offender of this. At least the CX-90 didn't go this route. They simply hid the exhaust pipes behind the bumper which it's better than what VW does. One other feature I appreciate a lot about the Palisade is the 40/60 split on the third row. I don't think there are any other SUVs in this segment that offers this feature. I have never seen any review highlighting this on the Palisade. And to us it has been crucial because we have actually sat three people in the third row before. Two adults and one minor. Which it's possible because this 40/60 split includes 3 seatbelts while the 50/50 split only has two seatbelts as it is designed for only two passengers. Not only that, but there have been a couple of instances where we needed more trunk space while at the same time needing at least one more seat for a 5th passenger for a long trip. So folding down the 40% section of the third row allowed for more trunk space, and the 60% section left upright allowed for comfortable seating for that 5 passenger which always ends up being my wife (God bless her!)

My 22' Kia Sorento PHEV has the 50/50 split third row with 32 miles electric range and about as much room as the CX90 which I do think is a handsome SUV. Also we've has a 20' Palisade Limited and it was a wonderful SUV and never had any issues with it. I'm hoping the 26' Palisade comes with a hybrid or PHEV version which I would seriously put at the top of my list.

Mazda build quality and design are on a different planet when compared to plastic and cheesy looking Hyundai ... Than comes how it drives , engine choice , quality of audio system that are all key to me . Hyundai knows it can't compete on build quality and quality overall so it makes it bigger , same as Honda does with Honda but not on Acura . Catch my drift ? Most folks look at size but don't look deeper so generic brands like Honda or Hyundai give them just that . Mazda is far nicer and better build and designed

Why does the Palisade have back orders on their canceled trailer hitch paclage?
@CarsMadeSimple Жыл бұрын
So Hyundai is still trying to catch up with supply of the wiring harness for recalled vehicles. I believe once they resolve the supply issues with the harness that hitches may become a port installed option again. The hitches themselves are readily available, just not the 7-pin wiring harness.

Not true. Hitch issue fixed months ago. No supply issue. I easily got a hitch in early March for my 2024. Both 7 and 10-pin available. I had 10 installed but was given a 7-pin as well.

For me, the Mazda CX-90 is the winner as I'm not looking for maximum space and I don't need an electric system to fold the second & third row seats (not old enough yet). To conclude, if I buy the Mazda CX-90, I would choose the base model, the 2024 MAZDA CX-90 MILD HYBRID INLINE 6 TURBO GS (Canada). 🙂

So thanks for such biased and unfair "reviews" like this one misinformed folks are buying Hyuidai thinking they are getting a "better" 😂 vehicle so Hyundai has no discounts while Mazda being so much richer design and better vehicle hands down is actually less expensive.
