Your commentary on more expensive commuter cars receiving better maintenance is just truthful. There’s a reason that Camrys and Corollas don’t meet the same fate as Altimas and Sentras. Also, if that 2.5 is anything like the 2.4, it may not be that reliable.

11:20 THIS. Thank you for finally saying this. For years, General Motors cars with the 3.6 V6 were lambasted for being “horrible” engines that always need timing chains, etc. HOWEVER, if oil changes are done every 3-5 thousand miles, they are perfectly fine engines. GM historically offers discounts and are usually bought by lower middle class families who are not maintaining their cars to the fullest extent.

I agree. I own a 2018 2.0t rwd Cadillac ATS, 110k km flawless car.

My Fiance picked up a '24 Tucson Limited and I really like it. I have a '24 Crosstrek Wilderness, and the Tuscan is so much more quieter, doesn't rattle (my Wilderness is a rattle box including the Passenger Door panel that buzzes and rattles like hell when listening to anything with the Harmon Kardon), and is a lot more roomier and feels far more premium. I think the seat bottom is software and more comfortable, but the bolstering on the Wilderness is better. Paint seems to be just as soft as the Subaru, as she already has scratches from a car that parked and their door's plastic edge strip rubbed the paint.

I bought a 2023 Tucson Limited in December. Certified with 5K miles on it. It is so solid feeling. No egregious rattles or buzzes inside. The car I traded in for it was a top trim Subaru Legacy Touring XT (needed a crossover). The Subaru was a complete rattle trap. Starting at 800 miles I had it in to the dealer 5 times chasing rattles and buzzes in the interior trim. Driver's door panel, sunroof, dash, AC vents - it was ridiculous to have them all sounding off by less than 5,000 miles. They were able to remedy all but the sunroof rattle. Oh, and at the first oil change they discovered a lower oil pan leak that had to be repaired. TBH after 2 1/2 years I was glad to get rid of it. I was expecting more from the top of the line Legacy. First and last Subaru.

I have a 2023 Tucson Limited. I've adjusted to the touchy throttle. It really is only an issue when making a turn onto another road from a stop. If I'm just pulling away from a stoplight and going straight it's fine and smooth. TBH it's not that big of a deal to kind of chirp the tires if I'm trying to make a left and quickly get into the lane. It rarely happens now that I've had the car 5 months (again, I've adjusted to it). I also keep it in "Smart" mode. There's plenty of power living at sea level in pancake flat Florida. I have never found myself wanting for more merging on to a freeway or passing a car at highway speeds.

Actually for the shifter, I have muscle memory since I have a hyundai with the push button shifter in the family. All of my fingers with the exception of my thumb rests on the buttons when I shift, so my index finger sits on park, middle finger on reverse, ring finger on neutral, and pinky on drive. I have never had a misshift using this hand placement and it is actually more intuitive to me than some of the twist shifters or toggles in other makes/models.

I still prefer our carbon turbo cx5, it's much better transmission tuning and the ride is more sporty which i like and guess what no automatic start stop! I can careless about MPG, I want a drivers suv for that price point..

I would get a cx5 but for my demands, it’s too small lol.
@timothybracken17288 ай бұрын
yeah it's def on the smaller side. that's the only con really, the looks are handsome, proportions, made in japan etc etc @SSstill has physical hvac buttons, not a gigantic ipad on your front dash

2025 MY gets a facelift where the front lights look more like Santa Cruz's. so Wait till Year end to snag leftover 2024's? I have a mid trim SEL and only use wired charging and android auto. the wireless charging heats up the phone too much. Also, 3 complaints as an owner. Firstly, Hyundai cheaped out on the paint. I have multiple chips and scratches on the hood from 1.5 years of ownership. Secondly, Center console could've been a more open design and a bigger storage/passthrough under it. 3rd. you cannot option ventilated seats to a lower trim.

I disagree with the how much u make vs a purchase. my wife and myself make very good money but our money goes into savings, our house and we invest in alot of stuff. We own 3 vehicles but 2 are cheap 6 year old cars for work and town stuff. The one vehicle the Jeep is not that expensive ( got a good deal ). We dont have interest in a Land Rover or Mercedes cause we make good money. House first.

Right, but do you maintain your stuff well? I don't mean if you have more money you buy nicer stuff, I meant if you have more money you probably have more time and money to spend maintaining the things you have.

@@DailyMotor All vehicles are maintained very well. But dont always do everything on time.
