I just the videos. Graduated with honors. Have the HIM degree and medical coding specialist certificate, and i can not pass the cpc. Failed 3 times. When I go for testing, everything seems foreign. Also, in class none of was learning the material. Our instructor wasn't knowledgeable. We all struggled. Her reply was we would learn in the field. I use to say how will get into the field if we can't past the cpc. Now, it is a reality. I we are stuck with student loan payments.😢

I agree with you. I just finished my class with aapc and the teacher I got was new and she didn't really know what she was talking about. I asked her questions about the guidelines she would just copy and paste from her book, acting like we already knew all these fancy words. I found her videos, and I have learned so fast, and it all makes sense . Thank you as well

I'm 53 and new at this, I've always had trouble remembering since younger with head injuries. Now as of Sept 24, 2024 we don't have to use our books, which I studied so hard to look codes up in the amount of time the first exam suggested and for me it thru me off very few questions were looking up codes. The final NHA exam is now bookless and the parts I thought I was great at I failed. The Revenue part I did better which I was weak at that I thought. So now studying a second time. It is stressing to study everything when memory is an issue.

Oh I forgot, I wanted to ask you a question. I currently work with a healthcare insurance company, like BCBS. I am a RN, CCM, case manager over the phone. I understand that NCQA HEDIS CMS wants more done for SDoH an assessment. As a care manager that is discussing these issues with my members over the phone. How can an insurance company bill for the assessments I complete. I think as a CCM Care manager I could help my company by completing assessments and they can bill for this. I would like to learn more. Our company is not as up to date on how our CCM's can help more with ROI. I think this is an area we can do better.
