Looks to me like Gonzalez got tapped out of the train and was stuck between a rock and a hard place, opting to cut the corner instead of getting caught up and bumped out like Fletcher. Unfortunately he slid and dug in before being able to rejoin. He's obviously a good driver but struggles to position himself for a result.

Tried to cheat? The 57 was blowing up coming out of Turn 7 and did his best to hold on. The engine lost power more and more as he went down the straight and as soon as he had a chance to get out of the way, and not influence the race, he bailed out of it. What do you suppose he do with a blown up engine, just park on the track on the apex? The only reason he got that far down the straight that fast is because we were boxed in behind pushing him.
