2024 Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster Review: To Truck or Not to Truck?

As West Coast Bureau Chief Conner Golden experienced over the dusty, rock-strewn trails that cut through Joshua Tree National Park, the new truck version of the (also new) Ineos Grenadier SUV is one of the most capable and focused 4x4s on the market.
With full-time four-wheel drive, recirculating-ball steering, and solid front and rear axles, the Grenadier isn’t the happiest on-road, but all of this blends into a symphony when the pavement ends. That said, Golden believes it’s one of the more exciting vehicles you can drive around town (provided you know what you’re getting into). They don't call it an SUV because that stands for Sport Utility Vehicle. The Grenadier may be a Utility Vehicle but isn't anywhere close to a Sport UV.
