2024 IRONMAN Chattanooga Race Recap | 🇫🇷World Championship Qualification | TRI EFFORT

Full recap from my race at the 2024 IRONMAN Chattanooga event.
This is a stand alone video that also coincides with my 30 week Ironman Training vlog series, with this race being the end result.
I met many goals during this race that were trained for throughout the year, and had to leave a couple for a future race which I talk about during this recap, among many other things to try to provide some insight on this race in particular, my approach to Ironman racing, and really just a detailed memory recap to throw in my race video database.
With this race being complete, I will be shifting my focus to the 70.3 World Championship in New Zealand this December, and will be doing a weekly vlog for that race with an 8 week build up of my training 🥝 🇳🇿

This is the dude on the Shiv! Great meeting you and racing. Awesome race. Our age group was very evenly matched. I forgot my bike computer so I was riding off feel the whole race and definitely went too hard at the start so probably smart to let me go. On the run I did the first half in 1:29 and then had some gastro and quad issues on the second loop from the hills. I actually ran with the 2nd place guy Chad for 5 miles and he dropped me at mile 20 but I somehow had enough banked to take the W by 2 seconds.

Idk about you but I was loving the cool weather! Might have to do it again to qualify for Kona in 2026. Just now noticed they got rid of IM Boulder and Mont-Tremblant… 👎 Not many choices close to home anymore.

Yeah man I didn’t mind the rain in place of a 90°+ day. That definitely allowed a more optimal performance from the body. Slim pickings for my Kona campaign, seems like most US races are around when Nice will be. Might be looking into Texas 2026 for that one. Was great to meet ya over the weekend, and looking forward to linking up for some training @radtony1720
