One option you’d have for auto steer if you don’t want to put the valve, controller and everything else in for the auto trac you could get an ATU 3000 from Deere. Mounts in place of your steering wheel and runs the auto trac that way. Not sure on a price on that but it is an option

Lot of rain in Oregon, hard to get anything planted. Great vids!

Very good video I really enjoyed watching it 😊 I also had that similar problem with the autotrac on the John Deere 6125r We ended up buying the autotrac universal 300

Wet spring here in NE Texas. Couple of weeks ago we got 15" of rain over 2 days. Since then we got 1.5" and day before yesterday another 1.25". Wet spring here means it will be a very hot summer for sure.Ate the first tomato from my large raised bed garden 2 days ago.

I’d get that autocrac valve. The more machinery running gps the better. If the lime was underlapped by 10 % that’s $2500, half the price of the valve. I’m surprised that more USA farmers don’t have it. You’d be hard pressed to find an arable farmer here in Australia that doesn’t have a least 1 gps equipped tractor.

Here in Finland we have opposite weather. 2 mills of rain in May so far, zero mills in 2 weeks forecast. It's nice to plant in good conditions, but i wouldn't mind little bit of rain...🤔

Sounds like you have put some good stuff into the ground for the forthcoming season. Hope the coming year is a good one for you.

I just got a window big enough to get an Alfalfa seeding in Thursday and was planning on doing my corn this weekend but the 0.08 inches of rain in the forecast for yesterday evening turned into 1.5 inches.

I hope you find the missing pieces in order to get the tracking system working. I, for one, would like to follow your installation process. 👍

I use roundup and Liberty after corn gets shin high, smokes everything and clean floor during harvest, I stopped doing pre emerge because I feel it just doesn’t work and u always had to come back and spray anyway so I took a spray pass out and it saved us a ton of money

A ridging high pressure is moving our way that should keep the NE hot and dry moving ahead.

Dry as F#@& here. Northwestern SD. We have some rain, it is green but NO submoisture.......No snow last winter, very little rain this spring so far. Areas 60 miles south south east of me has had 10 to 11 inches of rain this spring (at least) I have had maybe three (3) inches total since January 1, 2024.

Yesterday (Saturday) I drove from home in Stillwater Minnesota to Rice Lake Wisconsin which is NW Wisconsin, 95% of it is either farm or forest land plus some lakes. From my rough observation I’d say that 1/3 of the fields are planted, another 1/3 are tilled but not planted and the last 1/3 of the fields were not touched. I wonder if some fields are just going to be left alone this year because of $4 a bushel corn? Wesley I have an idea for a video with some similarities to Cole the Cornstars 365 days of farming series: If you had $1,000,000 after taxes to start farming from scratch, no land, equipment or even training on crop management, fertilizing, spraying for weeds etc. I’m sure with your knowledge and experience you could make an interesting video without even doing much research, possibly make the entire video just off of the top of your head.

You had a couple videos on your OLF channel showing the lime. Irt kinda looked powdery to me. Does it cover as much area as the grey granuleted lime?

As an orgasmic organic farmer at scale, I’d rather not get a drop than get too much. But I don’t consider getting in to the fields until I’ve made some tonnage for livestock to direct feed from and still have some nice biomass mulch to lay down after I’ve planted. Hence, we’re not really behind as of yet.
