2024 is Drayton Manor's BIGGEST Year EVER!

Drayton Manor will have a massive year in 2024 with 2 major changes at the park!
Drayton Manor is one of the best family theme parks here in the UK! In 2024 their park is receiving 2 major new additions! One of these is a brand new roller coaster from Intamin, a family lift and launch roller coaster in the old Apocalypse plot of land! This will be a great new roller coaster and a perfect new addition to the park and their target market! Shockwave the 1994 Intamin stand-up roller coaster is Drayton Manor's signature roller coaster and one of 2 stand up coasters in Europe! As of 2024 the park has announced that Shockwave will be converted into a sit down coaster and will receive new trains and a re-theme into the Adventure Cove area of the park. This change will hopefully see Shockwave become a more family-oriented coaster instead of a massive thrill coaster and therefore 2024 is huge for Drayton Manor, likely the biggest year in their history!

It really does look like a fun little park and I am excited for any park to be getting new additions. Hopefully all of the changes they are making will yield positive results for attendance and guest satisfaction. This park is definitely on my radar for when I finally get across the Pond to visit.

That would be awesome to see at a park but unfortunately wouldn’t come to a park like Drayton with their new family direction, would be awesome for somewhere like flamingo land though

I really wish this was true however intamin confirmed this was just a printing error on the labels on the supports sent to Drayton and they said it isn’t a spinning coaster. If this is all one big lie to hide the fact it will have an aspect of spinning though then that is a great secret and awesome from the park, can’t wait till it opens and we can see what it’s like!

I think the cars might be able to spin forwards and backwards but not spin throughout the ride. This would give the option to start the ride facing forwards or backwards

Intamin confirmed it won’t actually be a spinning coaster and those leaked labels at Drayton were actually just a pronting error, this could be a way by the park of hiding a secret spinning coaster hit I don’t think so, it looks like it will be just a normal train and no spinning
