Come on man volume 1 is about as lazy as you can get im enjoying it on switch but kind of ridiculous they broke something that ran fine last gen and mgs2 especially running at 30fps is putting me off playing that one and sorry to burst your bubble but from the gameplay we have seen delta is a straight graphics upgrade i mean they can't really change any of the gameplay in big ways and i won't be surprised if its still broken up into areas

I hope they bring Portable Ops and Peace Walker for volume 2, especially PO. I played them back in the day and have good memories. After Delta, Konami could reuse those assets to remake both games. To cut development time but take their time to get them right.

I believe Portable Ops can work better on home console due to having more buttons in the dualshock/xbox controller. Back in the day the PSP control layout was like MGS2 but with the lack of L2/R2... I want to play it again.

I honestly can’t wait for delta especially if it’s similar controls to TPP. MGS3 was my favourite from the franchise followed closely by MGS1 so I’ve really enjoyed the master collection vol1. If delta works out well, i really wanna see a remake of mg1 and mg2 for the msx in the modern engine. Like it doesnr have to be a one to one copy at all, change up level design and everything to make it more fun and well adjusted to the modern engine. It will allow a lot of fans to play through the younger days of solid's life, and properly face off big boss and venom. Espicially since mgs V was all about venom and big boss, two characters whose main appearances as villains are so obscure to casual fans as a result.

The Fortnite Survey that came out had both Raiden and Solidus Snake on it, so I'm confident we're getting more Metal Gear skins for Fortnite. It would also make sense for them to do a Big Boss/Venom Snake skin with the release of Delta coming and for people who may miss Solid Snake from the Battle Pass.

What are your thoughts on the Vol 2 Master Collection, and what should it be? Personally, I'd avoid MGSV and GZ, as those games are still very accessible. MGS4 and PW, should be expected, but I'd also grab Revengance, Portable Ops, both Acid games, and make the crown jewel be both Nintendo games, Twin Snakes and Ghost Babel, and make it accessible for everyone. I’d love to see Konami make a huge live service/free to play Metal Gear Online. Metal gear has SO MUCH POTENTIAL for so many different types of games. It could easily be an extraction shooter, it could be a very unique and amazing BR, it could be an amazing hero shooter with all the hero’s/villains from across the series and all the abilities etc.. as well as just giving us plain old MGO with the base games. So much potential being left in the table there imo.

I had always planned on playing the metal gear solid games at some point in my life but all the attention it’s gotten lately finally pushed me to do it. Metal gear solid 3 was instantly one of my favorite games of all time. After beating it for the 1st time I went right back to start a non lethal run which i completed in about 6 hours over 2 days. I actually had two copies at one point. I sold one, lost one, but thankfully found it again. It's a great game, and I think a lot of the "hate" it receives is fictional. And Ghost Babel (which I regret selling now) is amazing and under-rated. It's an easy win, they should absolutely include it. Unless there are some weird licencing issues with Nintendo or Silicon Knights there's no good reason not to include both.

The point I see of adding Old snake as an option is because Big Boss and Solid Snake aren't the same guy. Meaning, you bought Solid Snake, so you get Solid Snake and maybe Naked Snake/Big Boss later with an optional bandana and eyepatch.

A huge update Konami could make for the master collection one is adding crouch walking to mgs3, it would make it so much more enjoyable and friendly to new players who want to jump into this game. Also one thing that would be nice with the collection or separately released would be a mgsV ps5/SX version with some quality of life changes some new uniforms for buddy’s and snake. guns, graphic settings higher frame rate, new customization etc.

Bro I’m ashamed to admit that as a 30 year old man, me and my buddies have been playing Fortnite the past 2 weeks for lack of compelling multiplayer on PS5. 😂 it’s just a nicely polished quick game that’s easy to lobby up. Very different from how it was 8 years ago. Civilization 6 multiplayer is still unplayable, CoD gets boring. What happened to chill games? Everything these days is a sweaty, reflex & mechanics focused experience. All that aside I cannot fuckin wait for MGS Delta. Im confident they’ll do it justice in the remake. Let’s hope they release a steelbook for it!!

Maybe I have a tin foil hat on when it comes to MGO but last year was really first time that a new MGO was possibility after what happened with MGO3 made you think we might never see new MGO again but there might been a little hint of new MGO post MGO3 release with Metal Gear Survive was planned to be a soft reboot of MGO3 until they scrapped it and that game was close to what MGO3 was and during the pandemic Konami retweet those they are following their clip or montage of their recent play of MGO3 and ask them how they get more people involved with MGO I think they will announce MGO this year

MGS4 has a place very close to my heart. I grew up playing it on my PS3 as a young lad and then later on played MGSV in my early 20s. I’ve now been reduced to a casual gamer playing Fortnite with my fiancé every now and then, being the only game I play now. Seeing the Solid Snake and Old Snake skins in Fortnite got me soooo excited. I was looking at buying a PS3 on eBay just to re-experience it one more time. I’m so happy to find out that Konami is planning on releasing an MGS4 port. In the meantime I’ll check out MGS master collection vol 1 ❤❤❤

I didn't bother with Vol 1, (I have the HD collection), but I am interested in Vol 2. Peace Walker's my favourite game in the series, I still play it on PS3. My biggest concern is that the online features would be cut. The game's designed around co-op. As someone who completed the game initially on PSP, it can be a rough go to do it solo on your first play-through. I think online co-op's necessary for new players to enjoy the game, and some of the content's gated from solo play (human catapult, stealth gun, etc).The PW pvp slaps as well, even if it's a little broken.

I loved going through volume 1 of the MGS master collection i was happy to finally play these classics since I’ve only seen gameplay from people on KZbin for a long time now and with volume 2 i hope it comes out during the summer instead of the fall i don’t want the next volume to intertwine with MGS deltas release that be weird but i am happy this franchise is making a giant comeback again for so long since mid 2010s it feels really good to dive into the MGS saga in a fairly short term as of right now. Also when Delta comes out I’m planning on going through MGS 3 again in harder difficulty so that way i can be in a better mood for what delta brings to us.

@@dansmith1661 I honestly would have liked if mgsv had 5 chapter which each one gets better and better and maybe I would like 2 chapters on outer heaven were we play as big boss and know when his villian arch started. I would also would have liked mgsv to be more serious and more twisted which would ultimately stand out more than all the other metal gear games . Lastly I think adding maps like camp omega with parts of Cuba we can visit to outside camp omega would have been really great as well the devs could have implemented a big map based on Cyprus anyways I don’t think mgsv maps are bad but Afghanistan is kind of boring except for some sections of it as well as Africa map being empty but yet really fun to play in.

Totally agree, slapping the same MGS1 from PS1 emulated again and even with poor quality... Same re-release of the HD pack for Xbox360/PS3, I wonder if they will keep re-releasing this same pack for ever after many years again or if they will ever actually put some work into them so that ppl can actually enjoy them as their best for nowadays huge 4K TVs, upscaling to 4K should have been a god damn minimum requirement for PS1 and PS2 games which don't even much improvements from the original...

I've been a fan of Konami since I was old enough to recognize their logo on games. I played my first Konami game, Gradius, at age 3, and on my 4th birthday I got my first own Konami game, TMNT 2 - The Arcade Game on the NES. By age 6 I had played a ton of their classics, even some of their Japan-only releases (thanks to pirate multicarts). Only Capcom could challenge them as a developer as far as I was concerned. The way I viewed them changed in the later 90s, especially since I initially missed out on Vandal Hearts and Suikoden, but Metal Gear Solid was like Konami's comeback, I was proud that it was them that put out what I considered to be the best game on the console. Now, regarding 2024. Maybe it's big for what Konami has become, but it's all re-makes and re-releases. The re-makes I don't even want to happen. Having been there for the golden years, the state of video games has been really sad for almost 2 decades now. Thank God for emulation and pad adapters, which have been the main way for me to play games since teenage. Currently re-playing the Metal Gear franchise up to Snake Eater, going through Metal Gear 2 - Solid Snake atm.

In any case it is absolutely great that Old Snake now forever lives on. Even if "that guy from Fortnite" , at least he is now forever in the universe where he can actually normally jump, finally. And also finally not only Big Boss/Venom can sprint, parkour and drive cars.

I saw snake in fortnite and thought it was time to play mgs after hearing how good it was for years. I've played 1 and 3 so far, currently on 2. This new gameplay (compared to me just playing fps all the time) is beyond orgasmic, mgs1 still holds up today, far more than i had expected 😂 and mgs3 is probably turning into my favourite game So now this is an extra fan created by marketing 😂

Probably low on everyones list but I hope Konami has some sense to release MGS back onto GOG, both the OG ports and the new collections. If Silent Hill got the same treatment that would be even better! Ive bought the games on Steam but I would get the again just to make sure they are preserved for everyone in the future.

Controversial opinion... I loved Metal Gear Sold: Twin Snakes. It was actually the first Metal Gear game I ever played. It was what got me into the Metal Gear series.

I just hope they dont drop the ball on Delta. Snake Eater is my favourite game of the franchise and Konami havent really garnered much faith in the way they've treated the franchise since survive. As wonderful as it is to have the latest remastered collection, its still just a port of the old one onto modern platforms, so heres to hoping for MGS4 to come soon I'd really love to see it get as much love as we saw Capcom give the RE2-4 Remakes (say what you will about 3, i think its still very fun to play)

As a Old MGS fans myself I would love to see a New MGS game that take place in a new universe, New Snake and new stories with great MGS writing of the old for new generation to enjoy and keep MGS series hope and dream alive for many many more years to come and forever long after our death. I'm just so bless to still be a live to play this MGS3 remake, RIP to all MGS fans that didn't make it this far. Lastly I want to choose to not kill the Boss instead fake her death and hope she could live out the rest of her life in peace.

Man I would really love to see Master Collection Vol.2 announced this year and I really hope it happens,But there's no way they're gonna announce it that sooner with the Fortnite Collaboration stuff.... Let's hope they included the metal camo DLC in MGS4. I don't want to do another The Boss Extreme playthrough and complete the motorbike chase section without it.

Thats why you must save 3 files , 1 file at the begin of the Act , 1 during Gameplay progress and 1 in mix of Act progression and recommend the Solar Gun and more non lethal weapons and btw i believe shooting explosive drums couldnt count as kill

The problem with Twin Snakes is Nintendo, and given what Nintendo has become at this point with emulation/ adding their classics to their online subscription, it's not that easy to access Twin Snakes unless you either have the actual disc, a GC or an OG Wii, or are lucky to make an emulator work. As for MGS4, I remember reading from Sony that 4 was too advanced even for the ps3, and that the only way to make it work on current gen would be doing a remake. I honestly hope they do add it to Master Collection 2 to catch us off guard with the surprise. My ps3 is not working 100% so I am limited to access mgs4

I played all mgs games in the collection recently (3 being the latest one i finished) and that has me so hyped for delta and mgs4 due to the constant trend that with each metal gear in the series the better the games get.
