For the average person, the Sport S is a great option. I have one and its been great. Super fun. The Willys is probably the new sweet spot for the serious off roader, tho. It has the Rubicons high clearance fender flares, standard 33s, 4.10 gearing, rock rails, and a rear locker. Only thing its missing from a standard Rubicon is the electronic sway bar disconnect and front locker - and it takes literally 2 minutes to disconnect your sway bar, and unless youre doing extreme rock crawling, you'll never miss the front locker.

I really enjoy my 2024 2D Sport S. I traded in my 2017 JK 2D for it and it’s a big improvement.

Better jump on one sooner than later. Starting in 2025 the automatics no longer come in the 3.6 V-6--only the 2.0.

The dashboard cloth insert material should have been incorporated into the center of the seats. It's a stand-alone color in the interior.

This is how I see jeep trim Sport - build monster off road Sport S - same Willy - same Sahara - Best for city it not comfortable as a purpose built suv but what I love about jeep is u can add armor very easily Rubicon - Off road ready package 392 - Best off road or city Now we have 4xe this term don’t apply now Still tho I do get Sahara over any other trim I’m a type a dude that go off road 30% 70% city so for my need Sahara if u want to build off road monster go sport s If u have money go rubicon or Willy less money but still offer some rubicon feature

Not to sound like an old man but I was out once they replaced the solid 4.0 I6. That engine with the 6 speed was a solid setup. In-line 6 was fantastic for rock crawling, regular driving and deep mudding. I had the last year of those and it felt like an actual jeep still. These new ones kind of feel like big kid toys where you wait for shit to fall off and brake. Maybe stellantis is the problem because even the grand Cherokee is dog shit now. I shouldn’t have to get the 4xE to get a trail hawk and the v6 is a terrible setup for jeeps. You would think they would try to go after the 4 runner market but it’s almost as if they want to fail all of the “american” brands since it’s a foreign ownership team.

For some reason Wranglers are not discounted, but stretched Wranglers, aka Gladiators are $10K+ off, so just get a Gladiator instead.

Probably for most people this is probably all they should purchase unless they are hitting the Rubicon trail. You can spend 20k or even 60k more if you opt for the 6.4 liter, which will not make sense for most people. The leather seats are not that much better in the Sahara trim than the cloth seats and these are decently trimmed out. Stay away from the 2.0 or the plug in, go with the 3.6, you have better resale value.

Nope like any other car tinted windows and a windshield cover will keep it cool when parked. But when you drive it it’s fine.

@@stevelouie5928 civic? If it’s over $29,000 for an Civic Si, it’s too much. I’ve seen some lately go for less than they did a short while. In our area a well equipped Wrangler Sport S model is 34 grand..Not cheap! A base model Wrangler is still $30,000. Too much. Not remotely worth it.

That front bumper is ugly. Also they need to do away with the 3.6 and not charge you to upgrade to the 2.0. They also need to come with the hardtop instead of charging you 1500 for the hard top.

I'm struggling to find $50K of value in this vehicle. I love Jeeps, but this price is stupid high for this particular trim level. If I'm going to dump that kind of cash on a cool off-road oriented vehicle, I'd rather pay just a few thousand more and get a Toyota Land Cruiser 1958 edition. It might be a bit slower, but it's capable, more comfortable, and will likely be much more reliable than the Wrangler.

Getting rid of the V6 auto is sabotage.

The V6 is port injected and self cleaning. The 2.0 is direct injected and will carbon up without an oil catch can. And emptying that catch can is a pain in the butt. I have one of the 5.3 in my Silverado.
