Great reviews! I’m advanced 150lbs 5’6” skier and love skiing the frontside on Volkl skis. In particular my RTM84’s 167’s -(prior AC30/40, AND 6 Star). I have a left side leg length discrepancy that I want to address by adding a 5mm flat spacer under foot. Unfortunately, Volkl, (at least their all mountain skis), have their built in binding track system which do not allow any lift adaption/modification. So, begrudgingly I’m looking for a replacement that will allow a flat mount binding set-up. Looking at the Rossignol Experience 86Ti, K2 Disruption 82Ti, or . . . . What I love about my Volkl’s is the precision, weight, massive edge holding and lean angles that they allow and inspire, and its speed/stability capability. Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions.

I like the Rossignol--not sure you're getting a flat mount in a Disruption 82--the Ti2 perhaps. Also Stockli Montero AX or AR, Armada Declivity 82 Ti, or Blizzard Anomaly 84 are worth a look.

Hi, I was just on ski vacation and rented the Fischer RC4 RC in 180 length (19m radius). I really liked that it was stable in high speeds but also easy to drift in steeper terrain. Is the K2 Disruption 82 Ti also easy to drift? I am looking for a ski with similar characteristics as the Fischer but with a bit more versatility. I stay on the groomers all day long but in the afternoon i need something to go better over the thrown up moguls. Would the K2 Disruption 78 Ti still be versatile enough here? Best regards and thanks in advance

I don't really think the Disruptions drift all that well--they're pretty squared off and precise in the tips and tails. Either width falls into this category, but less drifty with the 78.

I know this is a little old, I have these skis in 170. I loved the first 3-4 days on them . early season kind of beat them up I think. I would like to get them tuned up. I really want to get back to the factory grinds. Do you know what the factory grind specs were? I can't find that anywhere Thanks. Stowe was mint last week. hope to make it up again soon

I don't have that data either, although it's safe to ask for a 1-degree base and 3-degree side tune as that's pretty close to what most manufacturers do in the factory.

I am 5'7" 160lb advanced (not expert) skier. 95% front side eastern skiing with some runs in the bumps and really enjoy spring skiing as well. This or the 78ti and what length in both please?

I'd go with the 78 Ti. I like the front side aspect of the 78 over the beefier 82--the width makes more of a difference when it comes to weight and demand rather than grip. I'd go with 163.

Shorter turn radius skis are a lot of fun. I'd check out the Rossignol Experience 86 Basalt--good width for balance and a nice short radius for easing into the world of carving.
