Great review! I’m advanced 150lbs 5’6” skier and love skiing the frontside on Volkl skis. In particular my RTM84’s 167’s -(prior AC30/40, AND 6 Star). I have a left side leg length discrepancy that I want to address by adding a 5mm flat space under foot. Unfortunately, Volkl, (at least their all mountain skis), have their built in binding track system which don't allow an easy lift adaption/modification. So, begrudgingly I’m looking for a replacement that will allow a flat mount binding set-up. Looking at the Rossignol Experience 86Ti, K2 Disruption 82Ti, . . . . . Your thoughts and recommendations. What I love about my Volkl’s is the precision, weight, massive edge holding and lean angles that they allow and inspire, and its speed/stability capability. Thanks for suggestions! Mike

I like the Rossignol--not sure you're getting a flat mount in a Disruption 82--the Ti2 perhaps. Also Stockli Montero AX or AR, Armada Declivity 82 Ti, or Blizzard Anomaly 84 are worth a look.

Wow - I just watched both your vid’s on the Anomaly 84. Very cool! You guys are terrific about conveying the nuances of the skis you review. Just awesome! Well, I was considering the Rossi Exp 86Ti, or K2 Disr 82Ti (but discovered they’re not offered in flat mount - which I need), and I even was toying with the thought of a Blizzard Thunderbird R15, but ruled it out as I want this particular replacement ski (for my Volkl RTM 84’s) to be 82-86 underfoot. But with the excitement you two conveyed in the vid’s about the Anomaly 84, I think I found my replacement. Thank you guys for your fun, informative and thorough video’s. The best! BTW, your test at PICO with the comment regarding that perhaps a Rustler 10, or 9 would have (maybe) been a bit more useful on that double black, was interesting. In my quiver I have a pair (of 10’s). Fun ski! However, not the best tool on hard pack front side. Thanks again! Mike/NW Skier @@SkiEssentials

So these WON’T allow very tight turns, or will just require more effort? I’m on a park ski right now, Armada ARV 86 177’s, and they’re quite the pain to keep in rhythm on short turns. I would hope these in 170 would be much better.

They require more effort to make tighter turns as they're on the stiff side and have no taper.
