As a first responder myself, I know quite a few of us that got into ham radio from a “prepper” aspect. There seems to be two kinds of people in ham radio to me. You either get type A, the alpha male type prepper, or type B the beta male who loves the scientific aspects of the hobby. Type B seems to not care for type A too much and that’s ok. I’ll try to remember to mail you one of our FD patches. Good luck with your ranch progress
